I'll tell you what I think has happened.

I reckon Charlie conned Craigie into thinking he was still involved by giving him those signed appointment forms back in May but telling him not to submit them at the time as he (Craigie) was banned from involvement in the football club. Then Charlie has moved the assets from 5088 to Scotland while he was the only registered director leaving Craigie as an unregistered director of an empty company - I think Craigie himself would call it the old switcheroo. Craigie has been chasing Charlie privately, using a bit of blackmail to get what he thinks is due and has now brought it out in the open, forcing Charlie to resign.

    Nice people.

That's pretty much my thoughts as well.

A lot of people have been asking why he held off so long, leaking little bits of info over time. It all points to Whyte threatening disclosure if he doesn't get a pay off, with Green calling his bluff. Looks like he called it one time too many.

@Pmacgiollabhain: Despite talks at Hampden today to get "SPL2" back on track there will be no invitation to Sevco. #NonNegotiable

@jamesdoleman: To lose one director in a week may be considered unfortunate, to lose two looks like carelessness #Sevco

@Pmacgiollabhain: @jamesdoleman He should have left last week, but negotiations over his severance package proved...err...protracted.
    All sorted now...

    Sir Walter?

Does anyone know anything about the interim chief executive, Mather. The only information in public domain doesn't seem to make him qualified to run The Rangers. His development of youth at The Rangers doesn't appear to amount to much as he is seemingly never there. Could he just be a muppet for Green?

I would think he is Pat.

He has apparently been involved in football for 20yrs, runs a Sports agency type business - quite why that qualifies him to be given the original position of Director of Youth Dev is beyond me but he is the one that Charlie boy suggested to take over from him.

Sounds like he is well suited to be part of the shambles.

On 14 June 2002 BBC News reported that King faced eleven counts of fraud when he appeared at the Regional Court in Randburg, near Johannesburg. He was alleged to owe the South African revenue service almost £60m.[1]

They were going to use Rangers as a conduit for players on Mather's books-that will now go ahead.

Not if McCoist has anything to do with it (if he is still in a job ). Mather's guys had a match against guys on RFC's books, and were horsed.

I can't believe how much fun the new series of 'Rangers in Turmoil' is turning out to be. I loved series one but the scriptwriters have excelled themselves with the latest series and brought in some really funny characters.

I think that when it is all over, I'll buy the boxed set of DVDs so that I can remind myself of the whole bizarre, crazy and hilarious show.

Shame that they omitted the usual sex angle but maybe that is about to come. I'll keep watching.

Craigy has sold the film right to oldco's death, so we're bound to get a sequel on newco oblivion. I think Craigy and Chuckles need to conspire again like they did buying the oldco assets. The Day the Huns Died Again. Executive producers Craig Whyte and Charles Green.

Alison Robbie@AlisonRobbie#rangers director Imran Ahmed has left the club. I understand the club decided enough was enough.

@TomSelleckCSC: Jim Traynor collaborated with Daily Record in smear campaign against Green which seen him forced out boardroom. Succulent lamb served cold.

Mark Hateley is at it yet again, calling for the immediate fast tracking of The Rangers to the top division. According to him, Rangers status in Scottish football is far more important than honesty, fairness and sporting integrity. No-one is remotely interested in the SPL without The Rangers. Unbelievable.

Didn't he mean to say 'No-one is the SPL is remotely interested in the The Rangers'. This would be more accurate

With any luck the close season will see them buried for good, so the option won't be possible.

Mark Hately's opinions on the whole sago have ranged from pitifully Ill-informed to comical.

    Also he's a fud.

and the Scotsman has become a parody of a newspaper by devoting as much space to an Ibrox press release as it does to a report on the Champions' League semi-final.

I gave up on the Scotsman a few weeks ago when they tried to equate the independence movement in Scotland with German National Socialism.

The Evening News in just pitiful.
