Jeez, what a guy, puts a smile on my face every time. And to be fair on him there's every chance this one is true as there's been a few perverts at his football club, one of them was hiding out in Kaunus so the cross contamination risk is high, maybe we should fire on a letter of support to him on this one?

Sorry for not keeping fully up to date/totally forgetting the answers but:

What was the signing ban made indefinite for? I was under the impression they'd paid their players, is it just there until they are proven to be 'living within their means'?

What steps do they have to take to get the ban lifted and is this possible/likely for them to do during the January?

    Cheers :-)
They still owe bonuses due from the Scottish Cup win.

So they have not paid up in full.

I'm sure they paid the Scottish cup bonuses earlier this month but used that as their excuse for not paying this seasons bonuses.

The 2011 accounts were signed by the auditors in April of this year months after it was announced UBIG/Vlad was no longer going to fund the Club .My post was related to a discussion of what kind of squad the Yams are likely to have post January window.
The reference to Accountants picking the squad was to suggest an inferno sized fire sale with anybody and everything that costs money is binned if possible, and Fester and football necessities should be disregarded.
Not saying that our resident accounting people on here would not have made a better job of squad selection than some of the managers who have departed E R. in the not too distant past.
They retracted that announcement with this statement about three weeks before the accounts were signed and almost certainly at the 'request' of the auditors. The statements this year have been more specific and so far they haven't raised nearly enough to see them through the season by their own admission. Shedding players in January and getting to the final of the wee cup might help, but their statements and actions have made the auditor's job very difficult and right now they would not get an audit report signed because the club has stated unequivocally that it is not a going concern.

If they make it through January expect to see a very optimistic statement on their website shortly before their accounts are published.

Even if every player was sold, and replaced with amateurs, the auditors could do little better than to say "you're not a going concern."

ps keep an eye on the Annual Return. I see it's not available to view online yet, but there could be some gossip in there.

Annual Return now available. No change to directors or share capital or major holdings so what was the delay ?

Guess they rely on their advisors to keep them right in these matters and said advisors are now only doing instructed work and not holding their hands.

Good news. Andrew Driver reporting in today's Evening News that none of their players want to leave. Given how desperately they need them to leave this can only be a good thing.

I see that the lith they had over who many were hailing as their saviour has buggered off back home. What a shame on the fans they even had a wee pet name for him "Rimmy".

This suggests to me that they don't expect to have the embargo lifted any time soon.

    Hertz Rumours

Had a wee look at the Hibs Rumours page - nothing to see that has not been posted on here already (ie Griffiths, Craig etc).

So thought I would see what the Yams are saying on their rumours page. Not surprisingly, it is all about who is leaving rather than who is signing.

Was at the training centre today doing promo work and the chat was that 5 first team players have already signed deals to leave us on January 1st and two others are close to agreeing terms. Wish we could have at least kept them until after the derby!

Reply was: Novikovas, Zal, Webster , Driver R.McGowan, McDonald, Taouil, all going on the 1st Jan 2013

Another reply was: Zal is going Webster is staying know this for a fact.

    22 Dec 2012 19:18:23
Novikovas is poised to sign a pre contract with polish outfit lech poznan. It seems they are also going after ojamma from motherwell. The exodus has started.

I hope "Captain Zal" hangs around. He's a total bombscare and worth a goal of a start in the Derby. He's too concerned with giving it the "5-1" that he'll give away a penalty/OG/goal.

Agreed. After Thursday though it's the winter break, and Hearts will look to move them as soon as possible to reduce their wage bill. Of course, that assumes the players are willing to leave their inflated wages behind and they can find a new club.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Overall he has an excellent record against us. It would be comedy gold if he adds to his catalogue of errors but we stand a better chance if he's not playing.

On kickback theres a thread talking about when they are going to get round to building a new stand. After a few concede the super structure isn't going to happen, one suggests the build something similar to the East Stand at ER. Considering the fact they have slagged this stand since it was built that's quite amusing, even more amusing when someone points out they can't afford anything resembling the East.

They really still don't seem to get how ****ed they are. Some are even talking about signing players again, 'once the embargo is lifted'. They were told they needed £2M from the share issue, the bake sales didn't raise anywhere near that. The solution: sell and offload players. Then pray.

Hearts hit with further registration embargo over bonus payments

Hearts have been handed a further registration embargo by the Scottish Premier League over their failure to pay players bonuses and appearance money.
The Tynecastle club has already been placed under signing restrictions by the league over the late payment of wages but at a meeting at Hampden on Monday, further punishment has been handed down.
The existing restriction will be lifted when the SPL is happy that wage payments are up to date and being paid on a timely basis but when that punishment ends a new sanction will take effect.
The SPL announced that although the club will be able to add new signings, specific conditions will be imposed.
New signings will only be permitted on a "one out, one in" basis, no player over the age of 21 will be permitted to be registered and any incoming player must be on a lower employment cost than the departing player.
The restrictions will end any possibility of the club signing 29-year-old Lithuanian striker Arturas Rimkevicius, who had been on trial at the club.

Most probably a wind up, but not beyond the realms of possibility. Decisions will be made for financial reasons only. They had there day on 19th May and the piper needs to be paid now, no new stand, no marque signings, nobody with any pace, determination or skill will be left in the squad, if they can be sold they will be and if they can get a 17yr old for cheaper they will be punted. They had their big day out, now time to settle the bill. As my ma used to say; you can’t have your cup cake and eat it too!!

Mcgowan will play his last game for the puddle drinkers against us on Thursday. Then he's off to China for 9 months.
    McDonald aint going anywhere
The rest is only a matter of time really, cause they are desperate for the cash, and to get them of the wage bill.

  27. #6446
McGowan only goes to china if he's injury free. If he gets crocked their financial situation goes nuclear. Not asking anyone to nail him you understand....

...but if we go 3 up I'd remind Ivan of the headbutt incident last new year then send him on as a subby

When they fail to pay January's wages the only logical punishment available is a points deduction.
