It was on the rumours site so no wonder. The latest from their is a move for Akinfenwa, I am 99% sure he could eat Eoin Doyle, so could be a bit of a hazard at training IMO.

Do hibs not sign players early so they can save a few weeks wages, seems to me that happened a few timrs over the last few seasons. So they arrive at hibs unfit and a few games out of sync and we all say"give h a few games" "theres a footballerin there"...

Have to say not sure why so many people back petrie 1 managerial success then there was collins he screwed that up.
Never seems in a hurry to part with any cash rumour has it he always tries to get players on the cheap to the point they go elsewhere.
As previously said thanks for the nice stadium and the training ground but that has come at the expense of the team which im sure is where we want any money now to be spent.
It will be same old same old crappy bosmans on last day of window and a season to forget again surely he can see we need players in now and not in 3 weeks.
However with Hibs continued silence we dont know if Pat has money just not spent it yet waiting on right players so maybe it is no Petrie

By which time we are usually already playing catch up in the league this policy has not worked for the last 4 years and doubt it will work this year.
Would rather pay a bit extra to get guys in before season starts as building a team doesnt just happen when players are put together it takes time if you wait 3-6 weeks it is more time it takes to gel etc

There's also the issue whereby the players concerned dont want to come here/hold off for a better deal elsewhere until time begins to run out. Its not always the clubs fault, which will surprise some.

Indeed.

Perhaps we'd make more progress by actually signing players that want to play for Hibs rather than waiting till the end of the window and signing players who are desperate for a contract wherever they can get it. There's also a reason that nobody has signed most of these players as well...

By not backing the manager against the players when he had just won us the cis cup first cup since 1991.
Collins tried to change culture of club get the players to be proper pros and the players didnt like it.
Collins wanted the players to be total professionals to me there is nothing wrong with that.
Collins also wanted the players to study the game be at training early in morning and not leave until 4-5 oclock in the day and agian the players didnt like it they went to petrie and instead of telling them to bolt if they didnt like new ideas there is the door he had meeting with them did he not.
Since then the club has had a softness about it and that is part of the problem.

Mark my words watch Livingston in couple of years with yogi and collins what im told is collins is putting into place same professionalism at livy as he was trying to do here and they will do well
