    Broken brake bolt on Mountain bike

    I've taken the head right off the bolt that holds my rear V brakes onto the frame.
    I was trying to adjust them but they were stuck tight so i ended up using a ring spanner for leverage and sheared the bloody thing.

    Has anyone used an Easy Out or Helicoil Kit for removing broken bolts ?

    Are break bolts superior strength compared to your average bolt ?

    Any ideas before i go and buy both ?
