Heard a song on Telly a few weeks ago and "shazam'd" it. It was "as tears go by" by the Rolling Stones.
Nice tune.

59 sound, and high lonesome are the standouts for me on "the '59 sound" album. Also recommend Teddy Thompson, son of Richard Thompson and Linda Ronstadt. Try songs like "I should get up" and "jonathan's book."They've only gone and done it! They've only gone and won the Scottish Cup! What kept you, Hibs?!

Been listening to some old Mike Patton stuff. Didn't realise he was such a good singer.

Your Love is a Song - Switchfoot
It's hard to stitch my own back with these shaky hands
But even harder to accept the scars you left were planned

Adele - Someone Like You
Track from her new album, 21.
The best voice and song-writer of my generation, IMO.

Anna Calvi - Blackout
Be patient with the French guy's introduction, it's worth the wait.

Had my iPod on shuffle today, and i've no idea how I forgot about:
Warrant - Cherry Pie
Theory of a Deadman - I Hate My Life. The perfect tune to listen to when you're pissed off big time.

I'll plump for Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News, every time I hear it, I can't help but nod my head in approval al la the churchill dog "oh yes Huey, this is good"

Simply for the sheer greatness and cheesiness and it's ability to make me smile no matter how many times I hear it, it has to be
You Make My Dream Come True by Hall & Oates

It's supposed to be listened to as a single track, so I'm gonna say this.

It's not family friendly, mind.

Capturing Moods by Rilo Kiley. Found it by accident - not my usual sort of stuff but can't stop playing it. Great album too (their best by far) - The Execution Of All Things.
