Sunday night, and I was taking a service in another congregation.

Got in the car to come home about quarter to eight, put on the radio to get the score, and it was the phone-in (then led by Chic Young).

I couldn't make out what was going on, just some guy yelling and swearing about "Thae useless *******s a need sacked..." and CY trying to get the guy to calm down and shut up.

Then another guy came on singing the same song, except he mentioned "That useless fat ******* Jeffries" and "F***in disgrace, hang the f***in lot of them".

So the two Jambos start slagging one another, the team, Jeffries, the Pieman, everybody connected with the Yams, off big time. CY couldn't get a word in, just let them get on with it.

It must have go on for 15-20 minutes, just two Jambos shouting and swearing about what they wanted to do to Robinson, Jeffries, the team, the groundsman, the water-boys, the referee, any random Hibee they happened to meet...

Funniest radio show I'd heard since the days of The Goon Show. I could hardly drive for laughing, couldn't imagine WHAT we'd done to them to get this sort of reaction, only got the score when I got back to the house....

    Joy unconfined!

Those were the days when the Sunday night games were on Five Live, so I remember being sat on B&Q car park across the road from my house with a radio while my mates had a kickabout and I ran about the place going mental every time a goal went in

A great night but spoiled by that yam 2nd goal that they didn't even merit, I remember Colgan raging at defenders for it, still bugs me today that

    Big team support indeed!

Best summed up for me, Fulton sinking to his knees after John O'Neil had just made it 5 with still plenty of time on the clock for a few more.

Absolute love watching that bit, He along with his smelly jumbo cronies Knew fine well hibs were ripping the utter pish out of them and could have scored 10 that night, That is no exagaration to the younger ones that never seen the game, Hibs were devastating that night.

In fact, it must have been good as I remember watching the goals three times over on BBC Breakfast the following morning when they kept showing the Hibs goals instead of the Premiership!

..... marks the 10th anniversary of us humping the Yams 6-2 at ER. Giving them a goal of a start, Mixu's hattrick, O'Neill's goal, Zitelli scoring and then Latapy rounding of the mawling with his superb volley. As I recall Niemi had a few great saves too. The funiest part of the whole night for me though was when Cameron got the consolation at the end and the Hibs support rising, almost as one, to sarcastically applaud the goal - hilarious. Cameron looked like he'd wished he'd missed!

This win kept us in 2nd place in the league above the Huns and saw us finish the season in 3rd place.

The team that famous night was - Colgan, Lovell, G. Smith, Sauzee, Fenwick, Laursen, O'Neil, Jack, Latapy, Paatelainen, Zitelli.
Great night one of the best days of my life. I am also getting married today as I thought it was such an appropriate day

I think I also went to Revolution that night as I had the Monday off

    Good times...

It might've been Eros & Elite I went to though...

Great stuff though, couldn't believe what I was seeing to be honest, and only a few months after nailing them 3-0 at Tynecastle as well

In the run up to this I had to put up with my parents and brother going on about how they were going on holiday to the nice warm weather while I was cold and wet back in Scotland.

Only thing was that I got a loan of their season tickets for the week...

Guess who was laughing loudest when they got back!?

Stuart Lovell at goal number six, hand aloft even before Latapy had hit it. Sometimes, you just know....

Similar to others, goes down as my greatest Hibs game memory. Had just turned 30 and now just turned 40!!

Mixu got the headlines, John O'neill was superb in midfield but wee Russell Latapy for me that night was just world class. If you look back in that game and just watch his contribution you see a player at the absolute top of his game. The 6th goal will always be legendary and rounded off the night perfectly.

Shame in 10 years since we have never come close to repeating but we will, some day. That game will live with me forever.

I was there, remember going 1-0 down and thinking "here we go again, decent team and we go and blow it against hearts as usual". How wrong i was!
Nope, after we went one down we were ripping into them and for probably the only time in my life I felt totally confident. It felt strange but I said to my boys "relax, we are going to win this. easy"

normally I wouldn't relax if we were 3 up with a minute to go....
Alcohol IS the answer, but I forget the question...

No it wasn't the same game, Fulton got booked in an afternoon game (may have been the Sauzee teeth game)

I think it may have been during the game on the 14th August 1999 (so the season before the 6-2 game). The game ended 1-1 and Fulton was booked in that match.

I'm sure I was at that game, I can't believe it was nearly 12 years ago!

I was 5 so can't really remember it at the time but my Dad says i watched the game with him and my head was just about going through the roof during the last few goals.

I've still got it on video, is it available on DVD?

I made a last minute decision to go to the game.

Best game I've ever been to in my life bar none.

I was last seen outside my Jambo supporting mate's house that night dancing in his front garden and trying to shove my Hibs scarf through their letterbox.
