Help yourself. Just get yourself a glass and turn your tap to cold

The question was who is your 'favourite' Hibs player, not who is the 'best' player you've seen in the last decade. Where Latapy, Zemmama, Riordan, O'Connor, etc all do/did have 'it' if you will, personally, a player's character, attitude and commitment to the club mean far, far more to me than raw talent.

Chris Hogg is my favourite player because I've never come to respect anyone so greatly either in football or otherwise. I can't see that ever being the case again.

He's a solid, wholehearted and yet unspectacular player who has never given anything less than his all for the team. His attitude is exemplary. He has had nigh on 6 years at Hibs during which he has shown the utmost grace and regard to all concerned with the club, was part of one of select few cup-winning Hibs sides, and is now our club captain, whether you agree with it or not. For that at the very least, he deserves a great deal more respect than some appear willing to grant him.

As far as I'm concerned he's done fine for us. He had an excellent couple of years where he rightfully took numerous Player of the Year awards, and I can only pray this year brings him similar success. Confidence will play a key part in determining whether that will be the case or not.

To add to that, he has the finest outlook on football and life I think I've seen and is an absolute gem of a man. In a day and age where footballers seemingly occupy the front pages of the papers more often than the back, I'm proud that in Chris Hogg we have an outstanding ambassador for our club. That'll do for me any day of the week.

The abuse our club captain often takes, both on here and at the games, is outrageous and without any merit whatsoever. Fantastic post

    1. Latapy - Fantastic player.
    2. De La Cruz - I know he wasn't great while he was here(well, apart from those 2 'heart sinking' goals of course ), but he was my favourite player back then regardless.
