    Interesting Stats

    Stat Trick from todays notw:

Hibs claimed fourth place last season for the first time in five years and netted their best points tally in 10 years.

The Hibees have lost out only twice in their last 12 opening-day fixtures.

They pulled in 209,000 fans for home league games last term for an average of 11,665, the fourth top in the division.

Anthony Stokes is the first Hibs player to score 20 goals in a premier season.

Best points tally in 10 years?

Beat last year's points tally in 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons.

Thought he scored 20 in the SPL in Mowbray's first season, 2004/05.

NOTW is a joke paper! Hibs had 56 points in 2005/06, 61 points in 2004/05 and 66 points in 2000/01 compared to last seasons 54.

Another interesting stat is that last seasons average attendance was the lowest since 2003/04 season. Mixu must have had such a negative effect of fans as it was still the lowest in 6 years despite all hibs efforts and offers of season tickets! I would imagine this season will be up on season ticket sales because of the new stand and the direct debit scheme though.
