Really not sure what point this woman is trying to make?

Taking the p!sh out of his spelling and bad handwriting?

And why would you go to the Sun about it and then get the Sun to record the telephone call from the PM?

She said he didn't apologise but kept saying 'sorry' over and over again?

I was always told that sorry was a bigger and harder word to say than 'I apologise'.

She seems on the wind-up here.

Gordon Brown may have made several major judgement calls in his time as PM, but he is not a bad man, and strikes me as a fundememtally decent human being.

Right, so his handwriting isn't inch-perfect caligraphy, but ffs the man is blind in one eye, and there was a bit in the paper from an eyesight specialist in the paper today saying that "m" and "n" are the two most easily confused letters for folk with his condition.

Much like the insinuation that he is a pill popper that Andrew Marr made on his program recently, this is a shambolic attempt by the Sun to a) use the PM's health/physical condition as yet another avenue to question his capability to be PM and b) raise their own profile with yet another morally dubious angle on a story.

At last we saw the real Brown on TV last night. He showed his human side defeding himself. I'd much rather have a man who, at least knows what morality is. Even if he might not be able to spell it.

I feel the woman has been used by the Sun, and she deserves to be left alone. I would like to know how she had the presence of mind to tape the call, when she says she was completely stunned to receive it.

How did she have someone close who could contact the Sun with the story as well. I wonder if the Sun has been up to naughty stuff again. They are the real vermin in this sorry story of human frailty

The Sun have shot themselves in the foot here. One of the few times that Brown has come across well in a media story.

I feel for the woman here, she's obviously in shock at the loss of her son and is lashing out at the Government (and Brown in particular) as a way of dealing with her grief. I'm sure it's very common to look for someone to blame when such a tragic event occurs.

What I can't condone is the Sun's mercenary attempt to use this woman to further their political agenda. Absolutely shameless.

If the editor makes the same sincere and heartfelt apology that Broon made, she should be forgiven. I hope the evening news bulletins give her the same opportuity to grovel that they gave the PM.

Otherwise, the are clearly part of a leftist, un-patriotic conspiracy as the Murdoch group has always thought.

This constant hounding/bullying of the man along with this portrayal of a callous heartlss monster are becoming very tedious and pretty insulting. I don't vote for the man, however I do think that everything he does is for what he percieves as the right reasons. He has recieved some shocking treatment of late.

I like that FR, i'm not a million miles from his politics I suppose. I wonder if he would fare any better than me on here
