The 2000 derby rankles. Team v team we should have destroyed them. When Lovell scored the feeling was that at last we'd got going and now we'd see how close we could get to the 6-2 game. It was close to half time, a real booster and I remember bouncing to Rock DJ with strangers as I nipped downstairs at half time.

That was as good as it got though. Don't know if they were complacent. Was the John O'Neil red card game against Rangers (RIP) the week before, or after? Anyway, two big games where the wheels started loosening.
Every derby that whole season bar the 6-2. First one at Tynie was 0-0 - tight game but Agathe rounded the keeper and managed under hit an easy finish to see it cleared off the line.

That 1-1 draw was infuriating - all over them the whole game and a McSwegan wonder strike pulled them level.

Final game at ER, another 0-0 - absolutely all over them, so one sided, but Mixu misses a last minute penalty with a failed Panenka.

Should have won the lot, two of them very handsomely.
