Hibs got their first home victory over top of the table Hearts in 10 years and Alex Millers first ever victory over Hearts as HIBS Manager at a sold out Easter Road

Hibs took the lead after 5 minutes when Henry Smith could not hold a shot from Paul Kane and Eddie May tapped it home after one of his trademark late runs into the box

Hearts equalised 10 minutes later when John Colquhoun skipped past Alan Sneddon out wide and sent in a cross for you know who?

Paul Kane gave HIBS the lead just before half-time when he headed home an Eddie May corner

There was no further scoring but there was a coming together of both sets of fans after the final whistle that was handbags at nine paces

Ex HIBS Manager John Blackley then employed by Tottenham Hotspur as Chief Scottish Scout sat in the Stand and was reported to have been looking at John Collins

Hibs swept aside exhibee Ally MacLeod’s Ayr United and the scoreline should have been more emphatic as HIBS hit the woodwork on three occasions

Willie MacFarlane expressed the view that HIBS were playing some good stuff but only 7000 diehards turned up to watch

16000 crammed into Brockville to watch Lawrie Reilly’s long awaited return from injury and they weren’t disappointed

A Scotland Selector sat in the Stand to run the rule over Reilly’s comeback

Hibs end a miserable derby run of nine defeats and eight draws on this day to give Alex Miller his first derby victory and go on their own six game undefeated run

Andy Goram achieves in his first derby what Roughie failed to achieve in 17

    17/10/2020 Scottish League Premiership

    Ross County 0 v 0 Hibernian

Hibs miss several chances Kyle Magennis hits the upright and Kevin Nisbet has a goal bound shot kicked off the line but they fail to breach the Staggies’ defence

Ross County had a man sent off in 79 minutes
