I think the sell on agreements are sometimes based on the selling club agreeing on receiving a percentage of any profit made on the player if he is sold in the future. Hence there being money in it for the club initially selling the player , including if the player makes any further moves. I seem to recall Hibs doing this when we sold Steven Fletcher , think we scored big time with his transfers after leaving Hibs. For this to work , the club who initially buy the player would need to have a sell on clause if they go on to sell the player. That club would then be due a percentage of the proceeds from their sale of player
There are numerous ways sell-on clauses can work. I suspect nobody posting on this thread knows the fine detail of the Josh Doig situation.

True, but on a more positive note, his neighbour's will get a minimum of two extra hours of sunlight with that gigantic heid moved down to Englandshire.

I’ll believe it when it happens. Could just be trying to squeeze a few extra £k from Hearts. He’d struggle in the Championship, well, maybe not struggle. But won’t score 10+ I reckon.

    Far too slow.

He’s had a contract offer on the table since the turn of the year yet he hasn’t signed it. It’s really funny tbh and if nothing materialises elsewhere as a free agent he’ll pop back to the Plaza and sign for the gullible ones and declare it’s the only place he ever wanted to be.

Like Nisbet, he will be back within a year. He’ll be starting a game in the SPFL in August 2026. Book it.

Josh Doig being targeted by Juventus - what a move that would be for him!

I think there's a fair chance he could be on loan in January, probably league 1

I am surprised Aberdeen never tried to lure Shankland in by now. He was probably expecting to go to the hun tribute band, but they are probably happy to waste 3 million on one of there many uninspiring signings over him.

The same ‘no dickheads’ rule is also applied at Liverpool, since Klopp came in. Seems to have served them well, and based on who we’ve recruited over the last 12 months or so, and how they’ve performed, done us pretty well as well.
Suppose the skill is in who is judging. One persons good guy could be another persons dickhead.

Looks like the computer as been fired up.

Claudio Braga on Hearts transfer radar as Derek McInnes turns eye to Aalesund FK hitman in search for firepower
The new Tynecastle boss has his eye

Played for CD Fatima, must be Shanklands replacement

He'll be back up the road in January - can't see him doing well down south at all.

According to some sfa scotland account on X hibs have made a move for Ronan Hale, unsure how reliable the account is though could be rubbish.

I'm pretty sure Salinger is coming in to be no. 1,

Smith has been pretty good shot stopping wise but I don't fully understand the love in he gets on here - he's very poor at coming for crosses, has inconsistent distribution and was at fault for a few goals towards the end of the season.

Excellent choice as back-up, but I'm glad we're signing someone of decent pedigree to hopefully come in and start
Smith had a very good six months and thoroughly deserved his contract extension but he also lost a couple of poor goals towards the end of the season and I think that probably confirmed to some at the club that he needs to be pushed harder and bringing in a genuine challenger for the No1 spot can only be a good thing. If Sallinger is better and wins the gloves then so be it, all that matters is the strength of the team, but Smith deserved the security of the longer contract and the opportunity to fight for the first team every week.

2.3k followers. So no idea how credible. Wouldn’t be a bad option, but think he could probs move down south for more than we’d be willing to offer him. He’d be backup for us.

Think a few clubs down south are sniffing about him, Wigan may have been one. I can definitely see him moving down south tbh

Surely Arbuckle will fail a West Brom medical unless its just a quick cough and squeeze of the lemons.

I don’t think obscurity is an accurate term tbf. Some pretty big teams play in the EFL across all divisions, and Sky show more than half of all games across those leagues. They’ve also paid a huge amount of money for the privilege.

So very good wages and exposure down there.
