Nah just a hunch. He still lives in the UK apparently and I think he will feel it's his time to move on after the World Cup. Been linked with Villa many of times in the past, we shall see.

Would expect a lot shorter than 11/8 for a "steering job" particularly as the price is drifting and it's a gambling stable.
Obviously could very well win but not convinced it's as clear cut as you are implying.
