I’m not convinced we’ll be strong enough defensively with what we currently have. But losing a couple of goals over a couple of friendlies when you’re changing an entire team at half time, really isn’t something to be bothered about.

I also expect us to lose more goals this season as the defence won’t have three midfielders sitting right in front of them all the time.
Aye potentially not but the poster was suggesting some massive catastrophe because we lost two goals in two friendlies.

Think LJ alluded to us potentially losing more goals due to him wanting his teams to be a bit more expansive

It would be a concern if we start losing more goals and get in to that habit. Hopefully tho we have a bit more going forward this season. We have 4 young centre halves. If Porto/Hanlon injured/suspended for any length of time, we may toil.

We are buying an older more experienced Centre half.

Is there any word on whether you can buy walk up tickets tomorrow?

No. They had to quickly terminate the loan deal with Raith, who are presumably stuck paying his wages for not playing.

No Jair, Youan or bojang as still awaiting permits.

"Unfortunately, we are going into the game without a few players who are still waiting for work permits to be approved.

“Momodou Bojang, Èlie Youan and Jair Tavares won’t be available, and Lewis Miller is also 50:50 at the moment."

Although Youan and Tavares both featured in Portugal, they are unable to play in a competitive fixture until their permits are approved.

Johnson should have been walked out of Downing Street for the mess he has made of our new signings starting to play competitive games.

That's a sickener. Was looking forward to seeing at least two of them feature tomorrow. Annoying but nothing the club can do about it I suppose.

I’m not doubting the accuracy, I’m saying it’s crap, took the wind out my sails a bit as was looking forward to seeing the three of them.

****ing unreal how long we need to wait on work permits getting granted.

I can’t seem to remember Celtic having any trouble with any they needed.

What a complete joke. I was buzzing for tomorrow as well to see these guys in person!

Bit of a downer but just one game against Clyde I’m sure the other boys will suitably impress.

My apologies misunderstood and definitely took me by surprise with Jair and Youan as I knew about Bojang.

It took Celtic over 4 weeks to get work permits for Hatate and Meada.

Tavares signed just over 3 weeks ago and Youan less than 2 weeks ago.

Just had a read about it, it seems when Celtic signed both there work visas were already sorted the time they were signing.

Even then, I’d have thought work visas for players arriving from Japan would have taken longer than a player arriving from Portugal

The ruinous Brexit and then a rush of prioritised applications from Ukraine are behind delays of up to six weeks apparently. Scottish football clubs aren’t going to be able to skip the queue…

Their deals were arranged in November and the clearance and visas weren’t granted until 30/12.

You can thank Brexit for it taking so long for Europeans now.
