I have had a few drinks so probably should not be posting but I never understood why we let him go.
    He deserved another year.
A class player with out a doubt.
I've had no drinks & I totally agree with you.

I think he was, yes. Been said on here many times he took lower wages for a longer contract.
When speaking to Kevin Thomson during the club shop signing session with LG i asked him if he was really playing for free, we got talking and he mentioned that players who came through the ranks at Hibs but had moved onto big money deals / wages were always welcomed back to the club by Rod but the contracts were around 1k a week when resigning.

So i think Whitts would have been a relatively cheap squad player.

He had a great game last night and the Dunfy boys deserved the win.

Possibly my favourite ever player and an utter dreamboat.

The only one I can forgive for the Hun transgression.

I hope he signs for a 3rd time once the Pars have quite easily romped the Championship, which they will.

He had a great engine on him. Liked a dribble To himself and sometimes you’d think he was wasted at Hibs. Then he’d blast way over the bar and fall on his arse!

It wasn’t tricky wingers it was pacey wingers, ones that could leave him for dead in 5/10 yards. He could get around the pitch no problem, watch any of the games he played last season, there was times he was bombing into the oppositions box (Dundee United home replay springs to mind), and he showed that again last night.
It was tricky wingers. McGeady regularly tore him a new one. I remember 1 game in particular at Easter Road where he made him look ridiculous. He then went off and Maloney came one and carried on in the same vein

McGeady was quick though. Quick step over, knock it 15 yards and beat you for pace. However that was about 15 years ago. I can’t remember one winger in Whitts latest spell with us that turned him inside out, however there were a few that beat him hands down for pace and he struggled. His legs still hadn’t gone, he’s never been blessed with masses of pace and even less so now, he should never have been chucked in at right back. When he played centre half and then centre midfield he was very good and still had the legs to get around the park.
