I don't think we're collectively getting the message. We will not complete the draft at this rate. Yesterday afternoon was very frustrating. Everyone needed was showing up as viewing the thread (I know that can be misleading) yet it took hours to get through the turn. Because of that I couldn't make my pick till I got home (driving) and Sylar was in bed about 5 minutes before I made my pick. 8 hours wasted. Hopefully we can pick up the pace.

Can we all do ourselves a favour and next weekend instead of suffering hibs take 2 hours to complete this.

It's not as if I could possibly know that!

You were showing as online when I posted to say I had hoped you wouldn't be long and then you were offline as I went to bed.

In all honesty, once I get a kicker and maybe a backup QB/TE, I couldn't care less who I pick up as the remaining players hardly ignite inspiration.

    I don't suppose there's an auto-complete function, is there?

I would do that. All we need is an agreed upon list to use (I use fantasypros) and I would give each team the next best player on that list. After the rosters are complete, we could swap players we don't like eg, extra defenses.

Lol. I wasn't blaming you. Sorry if it came over that way. The frustrating part was as we headed into the turn. That should be the quickest part.

The Patsies holding us up again

Not if the draft has been set to offline I'm afraid! I'd be hesitant to go for any sort of autodraft as it won't take account of roster needs - you could end up with three tight ends sitting on your bench which wouldn't be great.

I say we keep going for another week and then set a date and time for us all being on here. If you aren't here / can't make it then you pick at the end or you send picks to someone to draft on your behalf.

There is a risk you end up with multiple backups you don't want which is why after the auto picking is done you have the opportunity to swap / trade. I'm only suggesting this approach for bench players. I would much rather pick my own team than auto pick but I'm talking worst case scenario. Each round is taking more than a day. Next year we should plan on a live draft. This whole thing would have been done in about two hours.

have to agree, theres been times during this draft we have had 8 players online plus some looking in on mobiles, surely on a sunday it should be doable to do this draft at a time that suits all

This is just a suggestion if it all goes wrong time wise and I may well be forgetting something but say prior to week 1 so long as everyone has a starting lineup drafted we could fill the bench spots Undrafted at that point with random players then continue the draft on this and trade when it's completed?

That might be tricky since trades have to be authorized / voted on by everyone. I wouldn't mind starting the season with empty slots on my bench if we can fill those spots later.

To get the draft moving could be have a 6 hour pick window but you get to make your pick when you show up, as opposed to losing it all together? Keeps us moving quicker without penalising people too heavily.
