Yeah, fair enough can live with that - Cadden has been playing well. Thinking was just more of a right back than a wing back for this one, get ball early to Youan/Myziane and leave them with the space plus having a mind Bair is a big lad and Miller gives me more assurance helping out with the physical side plus height/aggression for corners, we are a bit weak at the middle of defence. We are a bit too open still when we play our best players, especially with Marcondes playing mid. That's to say that our best 11 doesn't equate to our best functioning team, if that makes sense
Very good points and understandable wanting a more natural defender in Miller thought his reliability fitness wise has been an issue for a while. Was wondering when he last played a full game.

Never realised Motherwell have been so poor at home this season, they haven't won many at all since beating us early doors. Aberdeen have beat them twice in that period.
Would give me confidence for Saturday if only our away record wasn't equally as terrible. Anybody's game though maintain we have the better players so if we turn up for a change could give ourselves a shout. Then again, Aberdeen's home record doesn't make for pretty viewing either

    Marshall

    Cadden
    Fish
    Hanlon/Rocky
    Obita

    Levitt
    NMW
    Emiliano

    Youan
    ALF
    Maolida.

We need to go for it.
None of this defender in midfield nonsense Can't be hoping that Aberdeen will do us a favour.
Levitt?!? Based on what he's done for us, he's doing well to get on the bench at the moment.

Newell in and I'd be happy with that team.

Whatever line up we have to improve on that urine impoverished performance on Saturday. Dundee and Hibs both so inept that Motherwell probably deserve to nick 6th though I obviously hope they don’t.

Yes no way Levitt should start however he must have been taken aback a bit by Jair coming on and moving to a central position on Saturday in front of him

The manager will not bring in Hanlon and will not drop Newell.

NMW has to start along with Elie.

    Marsh

Cadden Fish or Triantis Rocky Obita

    NMW Newell
    EMI
    Youan ALF MM

I’m do however suspect if he plays Fish Triantis will move into midfield and NWH energy and drive will be dropped to bench

I love Boyle but Elie did not deserve to be dropped last game.

Also would surprise me if he drops ALF for Boyle or Elie. Cannot second guess the coaching team.

I do know this though we will need to score as we will not keep a clean sheet.
Motherwell know they need to win this game so am hoping thst allows us to play on the counter offensive and that they don’t handle the pressure
But it could end up a high scoring game and we have only scored three goals once in the league this season I think So Motherwell will just keep going and hope to out score us knowing we can’t defend that well

    Moriah Welsh has to play.

His energy and appetite for the game is contagious

Unfortunately I think we're now grasping at straws trying to conjure up a team that can get us into the top six. It comes down to mentality as much as anything and we showed on Saturday we're simply not strong enough to cope with what was a must-win game against not exactly intimidating opponents.
We have the players and I've no doubt that they have the talent but they have no clue what they're meant to be doing.

A coaching shambles as it has been all season. We could have £10m players in every position and still fail to beat the likes of St. Johnstone.

Until we get a proper manager/coach there's no point in spending more money on players - the coaches we have will only make them worse.

Particularly defensively, there is nothing any manager can do about some of the individual errors we’ve witnessed week in, week out.

I'd go with almost the same team as last week, drop triantis for NMW and Boyle for youan though.

    Agree

Hopefully the two fullbacks do abit more backtracking today . Its been a problem all year leaving to much space on the flanks which i think is why teams get so many crosses into our box too . Think other teams know it's an area they can exploit.

Same team as the St Johnstone game but NMW in for Triantis for me. I'd actually keep Boyle in the starting XI. Be tempted to go Youan, Myziane and Boyle but think we need ALF in the team.

I'd drop Fish for Hanlon but that's never happening.

If the rest of the team match his speed and enthusiasm to get things done quickly, then we will be fine.
