Pick one player from SPL you would love hibs to sign

Purely theoretical, cash not a problem, who would it be?

for me it would be Callum Mcgregor every time.

Great player who keeps the game simple, always looks like he has plenty of time and has energy and quality on the ball we just dont see at Hibs.

If you like passback football he’d be my first pick every time.

Seriously? He's top quality at this level. He'd be the one I'd take, Butland is the other that stands out.

Butland, best keeper in the league

Or Tavernier for the 30 or 40 pens a season

I agree that McGregor is class but I wonder how good he'd be with poorer players around him in a team that wasn't miles better than most of the teams they'd be playing against?

It would therefore be a bit of star quality for me, which is a bit thin on the ground in Scotland tbh.

Possibly Hatate, who is immense on his day.

Or if it was to compliment the players we have already, maybe Carter-Vickers as we're probably weakest at CH.

Hatate or Kyogo would be mine

Defensive stability being what we need, left sided centre back. Yilmaz who is young and still going to have resell value. Plays left back but could play LCB letting Rocky move to the right.

agreed about Carter-Vickers, exactly what we need right now!

I chose Mcgregor after a celtic friend told me to keep watching him during any game, if you do that you will see how good he is at every facet of the game on or off the ball.

Yeah, I was a bit late to the party when it came to appreciating McGregor but I totally agree that he's superb. I just think he might be a bit wasted in a weaker team like we're discussing here and I'm a bit surprised he's never moved on to fully test himself either down South or abroad as it would be interesting to see how well he did with a higher level of team mate and opponent. I certainly think he's superb for Scotland.

You could imagine him losing the plot with some of our players who don't always demonstrate a great level of LJ's old favourite "football IQ".

McGregor Celtic is a class act could be just what we need in Germany to give the team a much needed lift

    Butland.

Goalie is the weakest area of our team, he's the best keeper in the league.

In terms of who would actually improve us the most from our current position, it would probably have to be Shankland.

(Though I’ve never shaken the belief that if Vente had been played in a front three earlier in the season, we’d have seen plenty more goals from him).

Calum McGregor is an excellent player, but he’d get slaughtered on here for not scoring enough or playing the ball forward enough if he played for us.

I’d have O’Reilly. Though Carter Vickers would be class, and I really rate Danny Armstrong.

Shankland couldn't lace Kyogos boots, I'd choose him or Cantwell.
