    Premiership Regulator

This is being touted as great news for the fans. I anticipate a toothless, corrupt body, much like in other sectors. At least they are making an effort to show some innovation though. The glakit wasters of the Scottish football will doubtless watch nervously from the sidelines in their usual dumb trance, either actively fretting about change, or displaying ostrich like tendencies.

Don’t think it will change a thing down there, the small clubs will be dealt with promptly and the biggest will be allowed to rattle on doing as they wish whilst the charges mount up, it will boil down to who can employ the smartest lawyer or accountants

Agree, outright criminals and cash grabbing monopolies like a toothless regulator that is pretty much given zero power by a compliant government. The government gets the added bonus of being able to deflect responsibility to the regulator when our rivers are polluted, fuel is overpriced, receiving post is a cause for celebration rather than a regular event etc etc............

West Ham owner David Sullivan told Sky Sports: "The Premier League is the best league in the world so why change a winning formula?

"I hope the government don't wreck something that works. If over the coming seasons the Premier League ceases to be the best league in the world, it will be down to an interfering government."

He added: "Between the 20 clubs there is almost £2bn of debt, so there isn't really 'available cash' to give away."

Think that’s the reason they need to get some sort of control

Agree, paying lip service which wont have any effect whatsoever.
