    On this day ...

17 years ago ( hard to believe) hibs went on to lift the league cup against Killie . Remember travelling over for it with my Dad . SoL getting sung by the fans was amazing .

Very special day that even the weather couldn't spoil

I think the weather added to the occasion.

Fantastic day (and night) with the Hibs. I was 18 that year, and it was the first time I'd saw us lift either of the 2 cups.

Bonkers to think that the final is now closer to the Skol Cup win than it is to today!

    Exactly what I thought.

Look's like I'm a similar age to you - the 16 years between the Skol cup and CIS was a literal lifetime for us back in 2007. Crazy it's now been longer than that since.

For those of around our age we're due a cup win in the next couple of years.

Jeez, where does the time go?

I was 29 when we won the Skol Cup, 45 when we won the CIS cup and 54 when we won the Scottish Cup.

Hope I live long enough to see a few more trophies brought back to Easter Road!

    EDIT: I shouldn't forget the 1972 League Cup Final - I was 10

    I was 22. I'm 38 now. Jeez.

What a day. Controversial opinion, sunshine on leith that day was better than 2016.

Not controversial at all. I think anyone who was at both will agree

I was 26. What a celebration. Likewise, my first cup in person.
