Agree about old firm fans behaviour for many years now , absolutely sickening.
However when our own fans continue to throw items at opposing players, like last night, and at hearts game.
This might fall on deaf ears.
The young hibs lads , will be on borrowed time, behind the goals, if this continues.
Give ut a rest mate, we're talking about them not us, ours are isolated incidents by individuals, the stickies are collectively a bunch of **** bags who does this every single week.

Agreed but some things are more important than money. This is one of them.
Put the HSL money into the club coffers and that covers the two home games next season ? Very worthy social cause too, eliminating bigotry from the stands.

Said last night I am considering not going back when playing them as it just boils my blood and not worth the stress.

Good stance to take and fully supportive - I’d have so also asked to see the last four match (supposedly impartial) delegate reports for our games v The Rangers to examine whether the sectarian signing in particular was highlighted. I’d also do a FOI to see if it’s been logged on the police incident logs.
Regarding your last sentence when doing an FOI i would ask if the sectarian singing has been noted/entered into the Match/Event Commanders Policy/Event Log.

The Hibs Safery officer may also have information pertaining to this.

I’ll wager the Safety Managers report v them would be a blank page mate (sadly) - hopefully you’ll read between the lines there. If not blank there’ll be more on it about our support 😫

If we ban them the loss in ticket sales is approx £140000, based on the projected turnover of £15m its less than 1% of turnover

So is it a huge hit in the grand scheme of things to make a stand.
Exactly, while we can't sell out our own end the club aren't going to turn down cash like that as much as we all want them to especially if we are looking to make profits or settle debts etc, the problem has been there for years, the football authorities even now have no interest in sorting it, they are powerless because of the club voting system.

You never know, this might start to gain momentum and find that fans of other clubs start to voice their dissatisfaction and similarly relay their concerns to their clubs over the issue of sectarianism and the lack of any great will from clubs to address it.

If it gets the debate properly into the public domain, collectively there may be a chance of perhaps taking bigger steps into trying to eradicate the poison from our game. The issue is largely ignored by the broadcasters and rather than upset certain people they feel it best to just pretend it doesn’t exist rather than challenge.

The biggest worry of course is that a Rangers response, and particularly their fans, would be to batten down the hatches and ramp the hatred up even more in defiance.

I choose not to go last night for the very reason's mentioned in the admins post. It's the first time since Gary MacKay won a medal that I have missed a SC home tie.

I’m an atheist but I married an Irish background catholic woman.

Part of being blessed by the Catholic Church marrying us was we agreed to bring our kids up if we had any as catholics.

When I was younger the bigot stuff you kind of just get on with, it’s the old firm, it’s Scottish football.

Now a bit older and more importantly kids who are all still a few years of regularly attending Easter road.

I can 100% say I would never take any of my kids to a match involving rangers or Celtic. It’s vile, awful behaviour. Hibs are no saints and we have had our moments like every club but last night was a real eye opener.

I really hope things change and quickly.

The 21st century, sad, it really is.

Edit: please add me and plus 4 family members to the list.

I’d support this wholeheartedly. The Boyle situation last night was beyond “unacceptable banter” . I don’t expect them to clap him off but that’s just unacceptable. Between that and the Ron Gordon tribute that’s enough. I’d support not giving them anything at all.

The mad thing is that these dummies don’t realise Hibernian FC has been an inclusive club for more than a century. No religious alignment at all.

Same for me...I don't want any of them in the stadium. A total ban is the only way to go, reducing their tickets will achieve nothing.

There’s a post on the Scottish Cup Instagram page from what appears to be a Rangers fan calling our two players a got sent off“monkeys”.

Have messaged their page alerting them to it this morning and it remains up. I don’t know how to check if it’s been read but it absolutely needs to be removed.
