    Lewis Vaughn Testimonial

Hibs provide the opposition for Lewis Vaughn’s testimonial on Wednesday 20th March at Starks Park.

During the international break so ideal for those looking for their Hibs fix during that time.

Excellent pro, well deserved, overcame a good few hurdles over the years.

Good Hibby and Raith are a club I have a real soft spot for so I'll try to get along.

He probably would have, if it wasn't for all the injuries.

If anyone deserves a good turnout it's this guy.

Convinced he would have played for us barring his ridiculous injury problems.

Tickets bought. Hopefully we take a good crowd. Hibs fan who would have been playing for us (or indeed higher) if it werent for his 4 ACL injuries

Hibs and Wales I reckon he would have ended up playing for imo.

100% going to this. A nicer lad you couldn't meet.

Presume ths will be no cash gate? I'll probably go but I'm a dinosaur and prefer to rock up and just pay.

Thanks, but it's fine. I'll buy one, just prefer that old fashioned cash method 😀

Just had a look at this, with a week to go, sales look pretty low from both sides. Testimonials dont seem as popular these days

  23. #22
It's not exactly been widely advertised.

Other than the few posts on this thread I've seen/heard nothing about it.

Times are tough for a lot of folk, and testimonials are a bit of a hangover from another era of football where players didn't earn vastly more than the fans. I doubt Lewis has made life changing sums but that's probably the perception for a lot of testimonials. Say a Hibs player had earned 3-5k a week at Hibs over a long period of time, why am I giving him money for his retirement?

Add to that there are very few players in the modern game that are at one club long enough to get one.

Think Lewis has had a few testimonial events such as golf and dinners etc throughout 2023 and finalising the game against his beloved hibs was the final piece to be organised

Hope he gets a decent turnout

I bought tickets when it was first announced and forgot about them. Just realised it’s next week

Few of our lot going through for this. No hibs fix during the break, decent jaunt across the bridge and shows support to big hibs fan riddled with unfortunate injuries

    Hopefully ticket sales increase

Looks like it’s going to be an awful turnout for the guy. Shame it’s not pre season as hibs would have brought 1500
