Any recomendations for decent places to stay in the City? Places i used to stay in a couple of years ago for match visits (and average at best) used to cost me £60 or £70 are now asking £200 plus.

Visit Dunfermline instead. 😂
Hotels circa £40-£50 and easy transport to Edinburgh by bus or train.

Agree about cost. I'm doing a road trip end September so was looking for a couple of nights.
Crazy prices on a par with London.
I'll just visit for game and drive elsewhere.Cougars!!!

I just had a nosey out of curiosity, the prices are crazy. £148 for one night in the Premier Inn Newhaven, £200 for the Travel Lodge on Waterloo Place.
Its the same all over. Even Air bnb prices are getting ridiculous, £120/130 per night for properties that used to be £60/70."...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

I see loads of tourists coming in and out of the hotels around Edinburgh Park / The Gyle. With the tram now extending down to Leith it might be worth checking their prices

That’s absolutely mental. I stayed in London not long ago in a 5* hotel for about that.
