Anyone know of a garage in Edinburgh with a tyre bath?
I have a puncture, which my usual garage can't find as they don't have a tyre bath. The tyre is otherwise fine, so doesn't need replaced yet. They suggested another place, which I tried, only to be to told that they got rid of theirs recently.
Failing that, I suppose a new tyre is my only option?

I'm not sure if it was a tyre bath, but Newton garage on the wisp done something which located a puncture I had once a couple years ago. I think they put some sort of liquid around the inside and it showed up as a bubble where the puncture was...
I'm amazed that something to locate punctures isn't commonplace in every garage!Mon the Hibs.

Definitely a puncture? Sometimes corrosion on the wheel can cause it losing air.

I asked Newton garage to replace a tyre but they checked for the puncture first with a view to repairing it.
They offered to do it, without me asking. Great place.

Get a spray bottle and fill it with soapy water and spray all round the rim of the wheel any leaks will show as bubbles.

Bet you're all desperate to find out how it ended......
Turns out it was a dodgy valve.
Farmers replaced it for nothing. How I love that man.......
