Terrible news to wake up to over here in Oz.
I thought something was amiss due to Ron’s silence recently….he’s not the kind of guy to go missing when times get tough, unless there is a very good reason for it.
Cancer touches most of us in some way, and although a diagnosis is terrible to take, it does not mean that it is the end of the world.
My wife was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018, and had half a lung removed, but is now fitter than me and still gets up at 2am to watch Hibs Tv on match days.
So if you are reading this Ron, nothing but good thoughts emanating from the city where you went to school in, to go with those from others right around the globe.

I supported Ron for most of his tenure, but recently have wanted him to sell up. The club has nosedived under his ownership, and mistake after mistake on the playing side is his fault as he is the owner, the buck stops at him.
I had no idea he was this ill, i'd seen some posts alluding to it, but until today i had no idea it was this serious.
Get well soon Ron, hope you manage to get back and take the club where you and we all want.

This is the news we didn't want to hear, as many posts have stated we have all been affected by this horrible condition one way or another. I send all the strength in the world to Ron. Here's to a full recovery and to see him back at Easter Road soon.

Further to my apologies on the thread at the time Sincere and unreserved apologies for my comments on the derby thread I had no idea. Frustrations got the better of me and for those that know me and my happy clapper disposition out of my usual mode. Wishing Ron a full and swift return to better health. A timely reminder for us all.

Terrible news - like many, suspected something could be wrong with him given his recent lack of communications profile, which he has been always brilliant at it.
I’ve never doubted his ambitions and enthusiasm for Hibernian, here’s hoping he returns and leads us again soon.
Get well soon Ron.

Puts a lot of stuff in context, I don't think he means anything but the best for our club.
Get well quick and finish what you've tried to start.

Not that it should be needed but hopefully this is another reminder of why we should stop singing that hideous Wallace mercer song
Get well soon Ron.
