Might sound daft but.....where is the best place to buy kids toys? I know there is Smyths toy stores but is there anywhere else as I'm struggling.
Thanks.

John Lewis used to have a decent children's toy department. Not been in there for a long time though.Hibs.nets negative posting legend and unofficial ticket agent.

Could do a lot worse than Facebook marketplace. People often move things on in good condition at low prices and potentially local to you.

Tesco toy sale started 3 days ago. Ebay can be good for bargains too.

Home bargains can have some pretty good toys depending on what you’re looking for.

Lego store in St James Quarter? Expensive mind. There's a Hamley's toy store in there too. Think there's also a toy shop in what's left of the Ocean Terminal retail experience and possibly a Build-a-Bear store.
Waterstone's bookshop on Princes St has a huge kids dept plus they have a lot of non-book stocking-filler type gifts too.
There are a couple of independent toy shops in Bruntsfield/Morningside. The one called Toys Galore packs a lot of stuff into the available space. Oh, and I think Klondyke garden centre on Mortonhall Rd does some kids Christmas stuff, while IKEA always have big cuddly toy animals.
