Just thought I'd add this into the thread.
So I was in meadowhall Sheffield the other day and everyone was walking around with orange chips.
Went to the chippy in there and discovered it was actually a lightly battered chip. Crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle.
Never had these before but they were very very good and thought I would share.Cougars!!!

Had chips from the one on Easter Road after the last home game. They were really poor. Don’t remember that chippy being as bad in the past.

I’ve been to the Magpie Cafe in Whitby tonight. Very agreeable. Though not much in the way of chasers to go with your fish and chips main.

Overpriced and shan portion sizes as well. That place has made an absolute fortune out of fans over the years.Hibs.nets negative posting legend and unofficial ticket agent.

The Fryers delight at Gracemount used to be an epic chippy. Haven't been in years though.

I don’t eat fish but thought the chips from Stefano’s in Morningside were great.

Elio’s in Glenrothes. Best single fish I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve been to Anstruther!

Always enjoyed it years ago but been pretty poor/average last couple of times I've been in.
Tried L'Alba D'Oro last week. Fish was pretty good, chips above average. Definitely not as good as Chippy By Spencer.
