He's been at Hibernian for a third of the time I've supported them.

A few days after the 2007 LC Final.i was standing outside Middletons pub having a smoke and Lewis walked by on his own.
I said something like"well played in the final, son" as he passed by.
He kinda blushed and said "thanks"
What a servant and a half he became.

20 year association with one club and still playing 1st team football after 17 years, a rarity for a player in the modern game.

    Well played,Lewis !

I hope he never leaves Hibs. Would love for him to be awarded the Athletic Bilbao one club man award.

Saw him in the Chinese last week in Dunfermline and he's still fit as a fiddle. My Mrs was rather impressed

(Disclaimer: think the Chinese was for his other half it wasn't under his name)

Lewis on this list, quite a few Hibbies on the historic list, Lewis on the current list. Hibs Legend and a player I have enjoyed watching his whole career. I remember sitting in the old East stand on his home debut and the old guy next to me highlighted Lewis, said he knew his family and he hoped he would have a great career at Hibs because he was such a nice wee laddie and a good footballer!! Quite a prophetic statement looking back on it!

Yeah looks like someone has chosen a photo where he’s about to get elbowed in the face. Anyway he would have just brushed it off and got on with it 😀

I'd have been quite happy to have moved him on at various times over his tenure which just goes to cement the view that I know **** all about football.

He has had more than his fair share of criticism and difficult times but the highs will have countered that. An honest, hard working pro and Hibernian legend.
