Can’t comment on the first two, but as someone who played centre mid at a decent level, Modric and Scholes are the two you’re told to use as role models. Very different players the two of them, but if you can emulate either one you’ll do alright. Speaks volumes when you think about the great Barcelona teams of the early 2010s and none of their centre mids are deemed worthy of the company of those two by (in my experience) UEFA qualified coaches
