Difficult enough keeping 11 on the park against The Rangers. I’m no sure they’ll let us start with 12.
Aye, that should have been Boyle and Youan up front!

I'm talking about this Saturday - not last.
Our midfield will get battered again and Newell will be the one who goes into hiding the most.

If he 'plays', I hope I'm wrong.
Newell doesn't hide. Dunno where the crap comes from. He is flawed absolutely, but he shows for the ball more than anyone else.

I don't know how you're finding the strength to reply to these type of nonsense comments from people that don't have a clue.

If Campbell is fit I’d be shocked if he doesn’t play. Would probably have him in for Henderson purely for his work rate and energy.

That aside the rest of the team is what I’d go for.
You surely can’t want JDH, Newell and Campbell in the same team?

I know it worked in the semi last year but I’m not sure any of the 3 are good enough, never mind all 3 together

Add in Kenneh and it’s a pretty negative looking midfield

I’d go 5-3-2, like the Stubbs days. Genuinely felt like it was a formation that suited the players and I feel it’s the way to get the best out of the current bunch.

    Marshall

    Cadden Porto Rocky Hanlon Cabraja
    Kennah JDH
    Henderson as no 10
    Youan Boyle

Dinnae waste your breath, anyone who thinks Newell hides doesn’t know what they’re watching.

Quite a few have Newell out the team for this weekend, no chance. If he’s fit, then he 100% starts.

    Very close to my team.

I'd have Newell in with Kenneh, with JDH pushed up as the advanced midfielder supporting the front 2.

We don't have the players to play 451/ 433 imo and will drop a lot of points between now and us realising.

I could see us taking an absolute doing this weekend regardless of who we play tbh.

JDH as attacking midfield? I think that would be mental. If any of those 3 have attacking qualities it's Newell

Can’t be any worse than Henderson. Guy that runs the Pie and Bovril forum said that was his strongest position at St Mirren too I’m sure.

Yeah, that's partly what I'm basing this on, I've heard it from a few St Mirren fans.

I can't really see Henderson imposing himself on this one, Kenneh's probably the first pick for the midfield, contrary to common opinion I actually think Newell's been decent lately and this is the type of game he'll fancy. JDH I like, and I reckon he could be very useful with the right players around him.

Still not convinced you can make a great combination out of our midfielders and certainly not for one where we might be on the back foot a bit, as you'd expect us to be against Rangers.

Newell is frustrating no doubt, but he is our best central midfielder right now and will 100% be in the team.

I think JDH more than deserves a start. Then it's a toss up between Kenneh, Henderson and Campbell which is a pretty hard choice as none of them have been inspiring.

Whatever the team is, I just hope they can keep the score down to a respectable level.

Going by how we've performed in the first few games this season, I can see us losing by three or four.

He's had several great games against rangers in his time here.

He suits playing them way more than your Livingston's and st Johnstone's imo.

I have this horrible, horrible hunch that JDH, Newell and Campbell will all start.

Something I never want to see again.

Is Campbell likely to be fit?

Also - not suggesting for a second we should try it - those 3 had their finest hour and a half together against Rangers.

The update from Hibs today said he's 'in contention'.

I believe he will be fit for Saturday.

Good point regarding the semi final win.

Not saw Boyle in any of the media content this week?

    Is he fit?
