Porno was good but I'm not convinced they've got the right boy playing Renton. Could also do with being longer.
Also saw David O'Doherty which was a great laugh.

Extract from a review I read last night:-
this is performative peregrination at its most meta-theatrical.*
That has to be worth an award itself....

3 shows for me last night.
Maisie Adam was very good. My wife loves her so I was almost dragged along but really enjoyed it.
Went to a pick of the Fringe at the Pear Tree. 5 comedians and all of them were pretty decent. Show was spoiled somewhat by a total prick in the front row who had his phone playing music, refused to check it when asked despite everyone knowing it was him then just acting like a total cock when one of the comedians tried to have a bit of fun with him.
Also had tickets for another multi comedian line up at midnight but that was cancelled at 9.30 so we went to see Henry Ginsberg last minute instead. I have heard some good things about him but it just wasn't for me and judging by the atmosphere in the room not for many others either. Wasn't a big audience and he just missed the mark badly.
Think that's my Fringe all but done now.

Took my daughter to Pirates & Princesses v Sea Monsters this morning. She loved it, was even up on stage at one point. The cast were good and great with the crowd.

Seen Glenn Moore at the Pleasance today - laughed a lot, with a broken rib. Was in agony by the end of it
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Just watched armando iannucci at the book festival online. Such a great talent.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Out with my 10 year old son today to see -
Circus sonas- free show by the comedian Martin mor and his son doing juggling etc, pretty decent start to the day.
Cirque berserk - this was excellent. Reminded me of going to archaos on Leith links as a kid 30 years ago but more family friendly. I genuinely found the bike stunt stressful.
The mighty kids beatbox show - my son loved this, good laugh with comedian Jared Christmas and a beatboxer

Finally went to see Trainspotting. What a show.
Also went to see David O’Doherty and Liam Farrelly who was a runner up in the same year I got to the quarter finals of So You Think You’re Funny *
The Ursula musical was good as well. Not suitable for kids which we found out when we took our youngest!
* I went out on the first round. But if I’d gone through I would have been in the semi so quarter final sounds good!

Haven’t seen any shows but did take a walk along the High Street on Wednesday to take in some of the street performers. Absolutely awful old hat routines that haven’t changed in years, the material is old, predictable and so boring. I have no idea how they attract such crowds.
