Anyone have up to dat pitch dimensions for Premiership?

from a post on Kerrydale St from 2006…

OK, I got the following info from the Scottish Football Ground Guide at
    http://www.apwj49.dsl.pipex.com

I know some of these will surprise a lot of people.
Some I had to convert to yards from metres.

    1. ICT: 115 X 80 or 9200 square yards
    2. Ibrox: 115X 78 or 8970 square yards
    3. Celtic Park: 115 X 75 or 8625 square yards
    4. Rugby Park: 115 X 74 or 8510 square yards
    5. Easter Road: 112 X 74 or 8288 square yards
    6. Fir Park: 110 X 75 or 8250 square yards
    7. Dunfermline: 115 X 71 or 8165 square yards
    8T Dundee U: 110 X 72 or 7920 square yards
    8T Aberdeen: 110 X 72 or 7920 square yards
    8T Falkirk: 110 X 72 or 7920 square yards
    9. Tynecastle: 107 X 74 or 7918 square yards

Not sure how up to date this site is but pricing seems fairly recent and the teams are in the right leagues. Doesn't mean the pitch dimensions are recent right enough:

    https://footballgroundguide.com/leag...gue-clubs.html

... Actually they look to match up with what you've already got so assume that's may be the source they used for most clubs.

There’s no way Tynecastle is the same width as ER. Not a chance.

I can’t verify the sources but those given above appear to be at odds with this which suggests a width of 64 (yards I presume but it does not state)

    https://www.football-stadiums.co.uk/...nd/tynecastle/

looking at the other teams pitches would appear to claim that Hibs Celtic and Rangers pitches have the same dimension.

Off topic but no wonder this country is going to the dogs, still doing things in "yards".

I was in the process of converting but multi-tasking and gave up ;) but the dimensions provided were all in yards. To be precise. In metres you’re gonna need to take it to cm and mm level. In any case the rules of association football (I think it may even have been referred to as soccer too back in the day) was talked of the pitch dimensions being in yards. Same with golf I’d imagine.

I just get the slide rule out and do the conversion on it.

    105 x 68 metres is a full size pitch?
    114ish x 74ish yards

Fairly sure ER is full size.

I seem to remember Tynecastle is or was around 100 x 64 metres.

Yes, that's right. 100x64 is UEFA's minimum. They had to take seats out behind the goals to get to that size.

Easter Road reached a full size 105x68 in 2000 when the new main stand was built, allowing enough room, and the slope was flattened. Before that, the pitch was narrower and a little offset with respect to the the FF and South stands.

From memory that's correct. To put it into perspective, ER is a whole penalty area larger than Tiny.

Rugby Park is now smaller than those measurements given. They significantly reduced the size of their pitch when Steve Clarke was there. It is still possible to see the shadows of the original lines on the plastic pitch. The reduction in width is fairly disguised on TV pictures as the reduction was done on the same side as the main cameras. It doesn’t help that I have no idea what the dimensions actually are though.

They certainly had a big pitch then reduced it significantly in size under Steve Clarke. Prior to season 19/20 they increased it again, I think fir a European qualifier but the shrunk it again for their first home league match. Don’t believe it’s been increased since then. I still don’t know the dimensions but there are clear pictures of all that if only I knew how to put them on here.
