Its hard to see what Hibs get out of these games as that was an another complete walkover as Nitten didn't even have a shot at goals.

Preston Athletic were a hard working joke and Tranent had a 20 minute spell but other than that the Hibs players are way ahead of this level of football and learn very little.

Tait was very good, Connor Young was very much missed not that it mattered and Hauge was a real trier supported on sidelines by Melkerson and a blonde.👍

Hibs have went down the route of creating a very impressive development team who don't have anyone to play.😥
Fair point but they played Sheffield United 23s during the week and will continue to play English u23 sides, I think these games will be good for development.

Is there not some sort of Hibs organised invitational upcoming? The 1875 invitational or something?

    Was LJ there?

would be good if he’d had the chance to observe some of these laddies beyond training

Tait seems to be doing really well so far in these games. Not sure what type of midfielder he actually is - as in, if he was going to come into first team, whose place would he likely take?

Ethan Laidlaw is fast, makes good runs, has quick feet, and is tall.
Unfortunately he isn’t anywhere near ready to play first team football.
He’s not physically ready yet, and he’s not very good in the air.

Is he any slighter than the likes Fletcher playing at 17 or Riordan when he broke through? Genuine question as wouldn’t recognise him in the street.

Fletcher had only a few sub appearances when 17 and deek went to Cowdenbeath when 20 then kicked on after that. Laidlaws only had 1 sub appearance but no 18 until January, I'm sure he'll be used sparingly if at all

He’s done alright, but as many have said previously Connor Young was much further on physically than both O’connor,or Laidlaw.
josh o’connor has been injured, and played his first 30 minutes today for a while.

Are these games not pre season type games for them until they start playing the better teams.
