That penalty was very Aaron Ramsay’ish’, thankfully Jamie’s hit the net!😎

Was a big fan, such a shame he didn't make it past Lennon leaving, as I think he'd have flourished again. Would love to have him back now but that ship has sailed.

Difference is he hit it with power Ramsey was way too cocky and hit it way too slow.

Kamberi and Maclaren are a bit of a 'what might have been'. They were brilliant together for half a season. Maclaren didn't have a lot about him really but he knew where the net was.

The injury to JM and losing the midfield 3 didn't help but they barely played together the following season. There was one game Maclaren came on as a sub with about 20 minutes to go and it was like Kamberi reverted back to the player he had been. He just came alive. The following week it was back to one of them on the bench. Lennon had to find a way to get them both on the park but he seemed utterly determined not to.

Thanks to OP, really enjoyed that. I liked him as a player. Always puzzled me that we had him on loan, knew what his strengths were, signed him permanently then Lennon almost seemed surprised that he needed to play with a partner.

Would take him back in a heartbeat.

One of my favourite ever games that.

Our back three that day was Ambrose, Porteous making his first league start and Stevenson who hadn’t played there before that.

We had to make a sub after about 5 minutes and McGinn ended up playing left wing back for the remaining 85.

Then that penalty was us going right up then park from them equalising. Had players with a bit about them then.

Was a guy who got you goals (when fit), he’d fit really well alongside a doidge type partner I think

Scott Allan's dive was a beauty as well. You usually don't get them at Ibrox.

I was at the POTY night that season and he was laughing when he basically admitted he dived.

Liked Jamie Mac and thought we should have persisted with him. Decent goalscorer.

Bit embellished here. Was a terrible pen and I doubt he is getting his beers paid for him 😂. I think it's time to recognise that the A-league is streets behind the spfl going by how many goals he's scored down there. Same goes for the MLS when you see Mueller scoring regularly.

I loved JMac. Definite 'what if' scenario for the second loan spell, if he was fit we'd have had a regular goal scorer in the team and results would have improved.

He seems a great bloke and really enjoyed his time at Hibs / in Edinburgh. I think he got it. Hibby for life.

'Keeper got a Little nick to it'... 🤣 keeper should have saved it, inch lower and he would have. But fair play he had the balls to do it and it came off. He got 4 goals against the huns in 2 games that season IIRC.

It wasn't the lone striker thing, he gubbed his back in at the start of the season and said for whatever reason Lennon couldn't trust him again when he got fit.

His interview with Marv on YouTube talks about it in more depth

best game i was ever not at - it was my 30th birthday and i was away ice climbing in the big freezer at kinlochleven - had an absolute blast, but couldn't wait to check the score. was buzzing to see that with pretty much no experienced centre backs we'd papped them at their own ground.

He was a cracking poacher but a truly awful footballer.

His performance at Aberdeen in the 0-0 draw where he missed a pen was up there with worst I’ve ever seen.

Barker was signed at the start of that season but he was injured for most of the first half I think.
