Happy birthday lad, amzing that you're only 20 today.
A lot of coaches regard any player up to 23 as 'still developing' and so there's still three seasons of improvement ahead.
In fact when we look at the squad in a development context, the '23 and under' group that finished the season contains Porteous, Doyle-Hayes, Dabrowski, Henderson, Campbell, Bushiri, Scott, Clarke, Jasper and Melkerson plus another bright crop of U18s coming through.
Please Hibs, this summer, no journeymen and squad-fillers passing through. Let's see us focus on developing the young guys.

Very happy birthday to Josh. Another promising season full of impressive individual performances was mostly overshadowed by the team's struggles - so it's important we still recognise and celebrate Josh's exciting talents.
So much more to come from JD.

It's a tough gig down South and Josh would be found out physically in my opinion.

Not in the Scotland 21s team, very surprising.
Maybe carrying a knock or needs a rest.

Physically he’s so much stronger than his first season. Makes sense for him to continue his development with us, he could become a very fine player.

Totally agree.
He's really been the only bright spot on the horizon for me this season.

He needs to improve some of the basic defensive aspects of his game, but you'd expect that to come with time.
Going forward I think Doig is brilliant and as a team I don't think we've really learned to fully harness that threat yet.
He has the makings of a very good player indeed.
