    Premier League Darts

I'm heading to this tonight at the Hydro and looking forward to it.

I went in 2019 for the first time and had a great time and tonight's tickets have been carried over since 2020.

    Anyone else going along tonight?

My son and a few of his mates are heading through. Is it set out like the Ally Pally with big tables? Assume bars in the hydro?

Yes there's tables down the front where the standing area would be for a concert and then the seating area as normal further back.

Yes there's areas to buy food and drink.

Heading to this as well, first time I've been (to the darts, been to the Hyrdro a couple of times). Couldn't have predicted when we got tickets back in 2019 that it would coincide with a European semi-final at Ibrox! Can imagine a fair number in the crowd will be a bit distracted. I'm sure they'll keep us up to date with the score .

    Line up is:
    Wright v Anderson
    Clayton v Wade
    Price v Smith
    van Gerwen v Cullen

They clearly want to have a Scottish player in the semis and I'm sure the organisers/broadcaster would love a Wright/Anderson v Price final for the atmosphere.

I've got a taxi booked to take me straight home afterwards as I didn't fancy going on the train with loads of Rangers fans, especially if they happen to win.

It will probably be a Clayton v Van Gerwen final, Anderson has been dreadful in this so far so I think Wright will beat him but then Clayton to beat him in the semis.

Price hasn't been great but will probably beat Smith but I think Van Gerwen will beat him after beating Cullen in the quarter finals.

Hydro's pretty empty so far, 20 minutes until the first match. Looks like a lot of ticket holders are at Ibrox tonight.

    Anderson wins 6-2 very impressive.

Wonder where that performance has been hiding?

Back of 7 there was hardly anyone here. Filled up a bit now, but I wonder if everyone who watched the Anderson v Wright match will come back in.

Slow start from both but Anderson found form. Wright poor.

Get your taxi ok? Fair bit of hunnery on the tunnel back to Finnieston, but I've seen worse.
