    Next Hibs Manager

    So, who next?

I honestly think there is absolutely no obvious candidates this time round for probably about the first time I can think of.

When Maloney came in there was Alex Neil and Derek McInnes.

Was there not a suggestion of the Bodo/Glimt manager previously? I have absolutely no idea how we would ever be able to get him but if there was a chance then we should be absolutely throwing money at it.

I would usually be happy with Stubbs coming back but I wouldn’t want him to tarnish his legacy with this squad of players and board. I think he’d be doomed to failure.

    Anyone any ideas?

Who cares? Under the current regime they’ll get 5 months and if it’s no working they’ll get punted and round we go again.

It’ll be some American boy from Ian Gordon’s extensive contact list.

I care quite a lot actually. I imagine the majority of this website (you know, HIBS.net) will probably have at least a passing interest as well.

Increase the manager salary and bring in someone who has strong experience and someone who the players would instantly look up too

The Bodo/Glimt manager has suitors well above our level if he ever chooses to move on.

Maybe they’ll manage more than one league win in 2022 and earn more time.

Maloney failed. Really badly. He didn’t earn more time.

Well, getting in there before the ex hibs connection is essential suggestions come in

Not got a clue to be honest - I wouldve taken Mcinnes last time but I doubt that would happen now

I feel that we might end up being pleasantly surprised in who we end up with - I think we will go big this time

No football dinosaurs please. I think the appointment of someone who was willing to change our footballing philosophy was a good idea, but this time it needs the right individual and more time.
Someone from Portugal or Spain, who has proven managerial experience, unlike Maloney who is a number two.
This time, invest properly in the type of players we need. Hopefully this is what will happen in time for next season because the ground work will have to start NOW.

For quite a while I’ve wanted Kevin Thomson, I don’t know why there’s just something about him that makes think he’ll be a huge success.

I think a large amount of Hibs fans would hate the thought of that however.

But other than him I’ve no idea? Jack Ross? Ian Gordon?

    Not Kevin Thomson hopefully.

Other than that I’ve no idea.

At a time when we clearly need someone to rally behind and unite the fans - you are suggesting quite possibly the most polarising figure of modern times?

Absolutely no chance it should be KT, I would genuinely consider returning my season ticket (I wouldn’t do it though! Haha).

If Scotland fail to qualify for WC would Steve Clarke be tempted back to the SPL?

Just no, no and no, these guys have done nothing in terms of coaching and would be a massive gamble, exactly what we don’t need now !

I agree 1000% with you - ive no idea why we often seem fascinated by bringing folk back that has previous connections with the club

Steve Kean has worked in Portugal and Spain and has managerial experience .
