    Hibs Tickets

    A couple of Hibs tickets have sold on eBay this week for huge prices and I was wondering if anyone knew why they were so sought after? They were;

Hibs v Barcelona at Murrayfield in July 2008
Molde v Hibs Europa League in August 2018

The Molde ticket sold for £510, the Barcelona ticket £570?!!

Crazy prices, great for the seller, are they just rare tickets?

Molde is rare as not that many were brought back. It was also one of the few Euro matches played by Haaland for them
Barca was apparently first time Messi wore number 10 shirt and quite a few sold in the last few months for £75-£100.It was common enough, but American buyers have pushed the price to those levels
I suspect the 2 crazy prices were achieved because both were unused !

If you are selling one N then remember to include Messi in the item description

A few months ago I sold one in a batch of Hibs tickets, price £5
I had another spare and was told about the Messi connection. Price £77 and I only sold to the UK. It would probably have gone for more if I sold worldwide, just didn’t want that hassle

I'm sure I'll have the Barca one kicking about somewhere... Not sure what condition it'll be in though and I went through a phase of sticking them into a book and writing the score/scorers in next to them...

Had no idea it could be of value.
    Mon the Hibs.

I’m sure I have both these. Certain I have Molde away.

The price of the Barcelona ticket is ridiculous considering there are probably thousands and thousands kicking about, probably someone’s got a batch of unsold ones as well, wouldn’t surprise me.

Good luck to whoever achieved those prices, but that sort of price should only be where tickets (or any memorabilia item) are likely in very short supply, not from a game that 30,000 attended in the recent past.

My Videoton away ticket with my name and passport number on the back, must be worth a small fortune, can’t be too many of them still intact.

The Barca ticket is now back to normal I’ve been told. Ridiculous price for a while. Daft Americans !
I’ve also got Videoton away. 👍
