Instead of the previously used round robin format, every week there will be four quarter finals, two semi finals and then a final. Each player will play each other once in the quarter finals from weeks 1-7 and then again in weeks 9-15. The fixtures in weeks 8 and 16 will be based on the standings at that point.
Two points for a semi final finish, three points for a runner up finish and five points per final win.
Following the conclusion of week 16 the top 4 players will contest the play offs, 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd in the semi finals and the two winners meet each other in the final.
I'm interested to see how this works.

Hopefully (touch wood etc) will be getting to the Glasgow night this year, after getting tickets for Christmas 2019!
Looking forward to the new format. Should make it more of an event on the night.

Price was superb.
Two 9 darters, One 170 finish and a 107 average for the 3 games played.
He might be a prick at times but he was unplayable last night.

I actually admire him. The flak he takes is unreal, but it galvanises him.
Outside the arena he is a normal guy !
I think there is a programme about him on BBC ior ITV which is worth a watch
