I would agree with other posters that it is an absolute shame that Griffith’s career has went from hero to zero in such a short time.
But he has nobody to blame but himself. Both Celtic and Dundee this season we’re prepared to give him another chance. But he couldn’t be trusted.
Surely there can’t be anyone left in the delusional “Bring Him Home Brigade”that would want him back to ER.
IMO this is an insult to a club the size of Hibs that they would even consider a deadbeat like Grifiths.

I really hope he sorts himself out, but he’s not at the level we need. He should drop down to a championship club and get himself back in shape, he could still have a good few years in him if he wants it. He’s been in a really dark place recently and I worry he might be finished.
United we stand here....

I can't believe he wouldn't be worth a punt if he got his heid together.
Like to think we would take him in for training; obviously he is miles off the mark currently, would love to watch him play for us again.
Even if he didn't get a game other than in friendlies, I think it would help him and to be perfectly honest he needs all the help he can get.

I hope he goes to Dunfermline with yogi, maybe he could get him back on track, so many stupid decisions and mistakes but with hard work( unlikely as it seems) he could go again next season

Why though? As someone already posted earlier, would you be feeling the same if he wasnt a Hibs fan who had already played for the club? And when it comes to help , he really needed to help himself first and foremost, which he clearly hasn’t bothered to do .

We need to leave this man alone on here rather than batter him to bits in my opinion. Shameful stuff.

The phrase “not with a twenty foot barge pole” comes to mind.
Do you think your security can keep you in purity, you will not shake us off above or below. Scottish friction, Scottish fiction

If he is lucky a team like Dunfermline might take a chance and give him a 6 month deal

With a bit hard work and will power it doesnt take long to get into shape.
Is he up for that though?

Looks like he joins a fairly recent list of “if only” players to have lost their way. Sad, but true.

If he'd bothered his arse to get fit we would have walked into a Scotland team playing in their first major finals in decades. Biggest season in celtic's history going for ten in a row and he comes back for pre season overweight. What makes people think that he'd be motivated to play for us?
He's miles off it and has shown time and time again to be a poor professional. That's not slating him, it's just the truth.

Estimated Celtic career earnings £10million.
But apart from that "What did the Romans ever do for us".🤔Last edited by The Baldmans Comb; 16-01-2022 at 09:55 PM.

As a footballer, the 2022 version of Griffiths is not good enough for eleventh placed Dundee with a friendly manager so he's nowhere near good enough for Hibs who are aiming for third.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Not so very long ago I'd have been thrilled to have him back but these days he reminds me of a latter day Riordan. A sparkling talent on his day but whose zest/love for the game just doesn't seem to be there any more. Why that would be for players with so much ability is hard to know. Part of me is tempted to think Hibs are the one club which might sort him out but that's really just wishful thinking unfortunately.
