I always liked Terry Griffiths but his slow boring defensive style meant for most he was dull as dish water, really don't think he could do a job at Hibs, not even in midfield.

I'm summarising the points made by posters on this thread. However and again, you are be selective with the truth re your statement. By the way, I'm not defending him I'm just trying to be factual so to not give the wrong impression of his issues, the girl is quoted as saying he did not know her age so, you cannot make that statement and pass it off as a fact. I respect your decision in not wanting him to play for Hibs again but let's stick to the facts and not portray him as some sort of sick pedophile.

Ask any non football fan that has never heard of Griffiths what their thoughts on a 32 year old man asking for pics from a 15 year old child are.

I’d imagine the word paedo wouldn’t be far away in their answer.

I don’t think Leigh Griffiths is a ‘good hibby’.

I don’t think he should be at our club.

But I also don’t think he’s a Paedophile.

All the above would apply if he never played for or supported Hibs in the past.

I'm not making excuses for him, I'm saying what I understand occurred.

I haven't seen the girl's photographs but I have seen the text/WhatsApp exchange. There's no mention of her age and LG doesn’t directly ask for anything although the camera emoticons do suggest it.

It was investigated by the police and no action was deemed necessary. Does anyone here know better or more than the police?

The boy's a tube, no doubt about it, but alleging he's a paedophile is probably libellous.

The ex- Hibs player inference is irrelevant to me anyway. Would I use it against an opponent, possibly, but I'd be doing it out of devilment, rather than some moralistic crusade.

Craig Thomson was convicted in a court. Leigh Griffiths wasn't even charged.

Let's hope he's not reading this, might want to get his lawyer to have a look for deformation of character. People have been charged for things posted on social media, remember this isn't a members only forum, it's open to guests too.
