    Livingston v Hibs (Wednesday)

Games coming thick and fast. This is one of our games in hand, and we need to start climbing the table
Does Jack stick with Saturdays starting 11, or twist and make a few changes to freshen up the team
I’d prefer he’d twist, and at least start with Doidge, and Murphy/Allan
Livingston really should have taken something from their game against Hearts yesterday, and this is always a tough fixture on a dreadful pitch

Hibs still selling tickets, but haven’t seen anything from Livvi, selling online yet

Scott Allan had to be subbed early on the last visit. He couldn't control the ball on Livingstons joke pitch which says it all really.

Heavy snow predicted for tomorrow as part of a new storm. Livingston don’t have a good record at getting games on with poor weather even with their ****ty plastic pitch.

I think we will see Doidge and Niz start.

    Big Week Ahead

Win three winnable games & assume Rangers beat Hearts....

Would see us sitting 2 points off the Jambos going into a cup final and with DUFC & Hearts to play over the festive period.

I think this is a massive week ahead - but we need more goals from Newell, Cadden, Doyle-Hayes if we are to get there (imo)

Yes a lot of the country's under a yellow alert for snow tomorrow from 11am onwards although I think the east should escape most of it so will hopefully be ok.

I think we might see Newell drop out. He looked absolutely spent on Saturday.

I'd be amazed if Doidge starts. He looks miles off it

Yeah, might need to try something a bit more adventurous for this one.

Motherwell did quite a good job of closing us down for most of the game on Saturday but I haven't seen much of Livi this season so not sure if they do the same.

One of my pet hates about Ross is that he doesn't ever rotate his squad very well. I thought it contributed to our poor spell around this time last year - where several players looked dead on their feet and several others looked very rusty.

Obviously he doesn't have the greatest squad depth, but we have games coming thick and fast this month as well as one particularly big game.

I'd like to see the full depth of the squad being used, as well as substitutes getting used early.

It's not as if the team who are starting the games are getting the job done.

We also play The Mhankies at Celtic Park between the Dundee United and hertz games.

Jack said a couple of players were playing with illness on Saturday, maybe he was one of them

Agreed. He should have been subbed off earlier IMO

Really hope Jack Ross rotates the squad. He made a few comments after the semi in terms of the schedule but then proceeds to pick the same 3.5.2 starting 11 every week.

Thought Saturday at home needing a win was the time to start with doidge nisbet and Boyle all on the park.

JDH and Newell seem to be favourites of his

We simply have to win these three games if we want to get up the league and challenge for third IMO.

Even, worst case scenario Hearts beat Rangers, and we’re 5 points behind them next Wednesday I’d be pretty happy with that given where we’ve been.

Been loads of talk about the games in hand but we need the points on the board (we’ve already blown one of them at Ross County).

Doidge certainly was. He didn’t train all week.

That might explain his complete lack of mobility. Hope he is over his illness and can get back to playing regularly.

We have been absolutely cursed with injury and illness this season. Doidge comes back from a major injury then picks up a bug. Covid in the camp, Magennis starting the season on fire then out for months. So frustrating!

To be fair I think we avoided a lot of it last season, just the way it goes.

I don’t think he can stick with the same eleven

    Must bring in Allan
    Must bring in doidge

I hope we go to a back four as Hearts struggled with a back 5 against Livi yesterday, albeit they won. They should've been 3-0 down and would have been if it wasn't for Gordon.

Good to know, as I'm undecided as yet. It will depend just how bad the weather gets.

Didn't help us with his 2 game ban.

He is going to struggle to be properly match fit for the Final at this rate
He now needs to playing every game even off the bench and upping the amount of time spent on the pitch to build up strength and stamina and to start to get some form back
Coming back into a team not winning isn’t ideal as it could take him a few games before he scores
