I thought we were very poor before we changed shape. Thereafter, we were much better and scored a fantastic goal. What a ball from Campbell and a top finish from Nisbet. Motherwell must have felt like us at that point as they didn't deserve to be behind. We played pretty well in the second half creating a few chances but lost yet another terrible goal. Murphy and Allan never really added much when they came on and Doidge looks miles away from starting to me. It was a fair enough result with both goals against the run of play. We will finish in the middle of the table somewhere unless we get some more urgency as we look devoid of drive and ambition. So many passes that went astray and so many that fell behind a man. We are far too slow and sideways in the majority of our play for the most part and annoyingly have flashes where we really move the ball well.

Agree completely with what your saying .. So dull to watch for the most part , lack drive , lack tempo in our play , and are devoid of any real flair or creativity apart from martin boyle

I admire your optimism but personally I don't see it.
We could and probably should have scored 3 or 4 today

Hibs should have won but couldn't finish.

Thought Macey was average today and could have saved their goal. Not sure defence trusts him that much.

Needed a win today so pretty annoying.

To top it all off train full of the Rangers fans talking *****.
    Cougars!!!

I thought overall we were clearly the better side and created some great chances, I don't think Motherwell looked comfortable for the majority of the 2nd half, and for me the only good defender they have is Mugabi. We missed what I would regard as a sitter and hit the bar as well as a couple of dangerous balls across the box. I thought it was quite an open game but, particularly in the 2nd half I thought there were long spells when we totally dominated it. All about opinions though obviously.

But we didn’t and it’s one of the reasons we aren’t winning league games
The longer this goes on the harder it will be to compete for top four spot
Hopefully it changes in the next few games as we need to be going into a Cup Final on form and with confidence

Yeah, they looked really comfortable 2nd half clearing the ball of their line twice

Won plenty 2nd balls as well.

Glad there are now probably more people on this thread describing the football as boring, uninspiring etc.

    The attendances speak for themselves.

Jack Ross can bore off elsewhere

We’re not going to get anywhere if we can’t win games like today.
We have 4 points out of 6 versus Motherwell so far this year. As I say, not a disaster.

We could have 6 points out of 6 against Motherwell and lose every other game and be relegated. Your logic is rubbish.

We’re boring, crap to watch 90% of the time, and now on a terrible run. How long do we give this clown before people realise ?

With the kind of run we’re on, I thought we had to win today if we have any aspirations of starting to push up the table and compete for third. Nothing that’s happened in the last couple of weeks has been disastrous on its own, but when you add it all together it’s going that way.

Just seen the goal again on sport scene and yet again Paul Hanlon doesn’t cover himself in glory. Doesn’t even challenge for the ball before the Motherwell goal.

Had his 1 good game in 8 against Rangers in the semi final. Not good enough along with Jack Ross.

Really enjoyed the second half was a lot of good football. Should have seen Hibs in the late 70s/early 80s. Or who can forget the Calderwood, Fenlan, Butcher era.

We had about 15 shots on goal yesterday. How can that be classed as boring?

1st half we were lucky to go into the break 1up however 2nd half we should’ve killed the game off. Like Wednesday, once the opposition subs are made, the game swings in their favour and they score. We make our changes too late.

    60% posession, 22 shots with 5 on target, 8 corners to 0

Well had 17 shots with 5 on target

We beat them on corners though, get in there 🤣

    Ps that was BBC stats

Here starts the personal abuse of Jack Ross.

I would say both teams would be happy with a point after the final whistle.

No doubt Motherwell could of been a few in front before our opener but again we could of been a few ahead if Nisbet puts his other chance away and if Campbell's rockets goes in.

Both teams had chances and only scored 1 goal each, for a nutueral watching they would said it was a good game to watch imo.

Yesterday was another mixture of some awful football and some good football. For me what hurt us most was the poor performance from both Newell and JDH.

Radio report and TV said it was a fantastic game, end to end. Hib.net say boring

I personally thought it was a good game of football, not saying the skill levels were great, but both teams were going for it from the kick off to the final whistle.

There is no way that game could be classed as boring. Do you sit with your head buried in your phone during the game? The guy that used to sit in the row in front of me did and used to pop his head up every few seconds, he could always tell you who was playing ***** and what kind of game it was.
I remember him screaming at a player once when he wasn't even on the pitch he had been subbed some 10 mins earlier

Haha I was just going to say the same, never heard many if any complaints at all when we had only 3 shots in total, all on target.

Big occasion, beating Rangers, Hibs end bouncing v run of the mill league game, not winning, Hibs end dead. No really difficult to figure out why some folk found yesterday boring, but of a daft comparison.
