    Suspensions - Boyle and Doidge

Am I right in thinking that theyíll miss both the St Johnstone and Hun games?

    Absolute ****** disaster if so.

What a rollercoaster ride this club we love takes us on.

I suppose thatís a slight relief then.

St Johnstone seem to have found a way of marshalling Boyle better than most teams in the country, so itís a rare fixture in which he wonít be missed considerably. Canít say Iím optimistic..,

Is it not a 2 game ban for a straight red?

Looking for someone to confirm this. Losing Boyle in particular for the game against Rangers at Easter Road under the lights would be an absolute hammer blow

Boyle was sent off for foul and abusive language which comes with a 1 match ban.

Doidge was sent off for violent conduct which is 2 games.

Yep, Doidge was bad enough but Martin Boyle was absolutely moronic. What the **** did he think he was going to achieve?

The amount of brutal abuse he put up with all game from them hammer throwers he should have just nutted the hun ref and then walked off.

    Boyle was way beyond stupid.
One of his teammates should have gagged him and dragged him away when he started with that suicide mission.

Not trying to excuse Boyle, but the dissent rule seems a mess to me. Dissent is surely just that. Talking back of any form. That was surrendered generations back and weíre left in a situation where swearing at a ref is bookable or not depending on how bad the ref receives it as.

For what itís worth, Iíd like to see football be like rugby where there is a universally-understood line you donít cross.

It was terrible - Hanlon was trying to get others away so he could do his bit and Boyle appeared from nowhere.

No. Didnít know it was a straight red.

It gets daft when there is a question of what is acceptable, non-yellow, dissent and what deserves a yellow but not a red. Thatís not the refereesí fault, itís down to the game allowing players to behave in a way that other team sports wouldnít tolerate in the first place.

Swearing is supposed to be a sending off but it rarely is.

    **** was Doidge playing at?
Boyle I can see his frustration because the red was ****ing **** and every single ball in the box was a foul for them.

The mood it looked like the ref was in from the start it doesnít surprise me.

Scott Allan still wonít make the eleven

What I donít get about Allan he was back in the team, got hooked at ibrox after the red card never been seen again. When he was actually providing goals and assist.

    Another rossism

I don't think the referee was as good as that. Probably his highlight was ignoring Hanlon's shirt being hauled half off because the alternative was to give us an obvious penalty.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

He seems to be held to a different standard from other players, who are allowed consecutive poor games but start the following ones. As disappointing as I find it Iíve come to accept he no longer has a future with us.

Its a huge relief having Boyle against Rangers and us being able to field the exact same team that humped them. Hibs without Boyle are a completely different animal. Stupid tonight but thank **** it's only 1 game for him!

I'd like to see awful refs told they are awful and held accountable for their awful decisions changing matches, seasons and careers. The idea that a ref deserves some kind of unwavering respect is laughable. They're all *****.

You do in youth football but somehow itís then just up to refs in senior football and they the only send off if itís detected at the ref personally. Boyle claims he was swearing at the refs performance not the ref himself. Itís one of the daftest excuses Iíve heard. His captain was already there ensuring the referee was clear in our clubís disappointment in his performance. There is nothing to gain from Boyle running in swearing his head off.

For me the most annoying thing is the referee was the official who told Heckingbottom to **** off when he was a fourth official causing Hecky to go public with it.

Seems itís ok for him to tell someone to **** off but not the other way around.
