What’s even more mad is for the Cup Final v Hearts they put the “Protestant” team in the West and the “Catholic” team in the East.

It’s like they had a template for allocation.

It's like we get the East unless we play Celtic.

In recent years we've had the east against Rangers, Dundee Utd, Aberdeen and Falkirk.

I couldn't care which end we are in, the important thing for me is Hibs are there.

For years the east has always been the “Celtic” end. And Rangers the other end …

In more recent years they’ve been less regular finalists. Perhaps the authorities should make it more flexible depending on the teams

I much prefer the west stand allocation - as it opens up cathcart and Shawlands for pre match food and drinks

I agree but it's like if Celtic aren't involved then we get the East.

I remember the 1979 semi against Aberdeen both teams fans were in the Rangers end.

Surely the amount we’ve been there now it should be renamed to the “Hibs end”?

Queen's Park owned Hampden when the roof was put over the west terrace, so that seems unlikely.

The Celtic End/Rangers End thing is a piece of nonsense, of course, but not something I lose sleep over.
It's true mate Rangers helped fund the covering so got to use that end whenever they played at Hampden.
