    Where? Why? Who?

Where, or which, end will be allocated for the final? We were given the East end of Hampden today, on the assumption that we were predominantly from the East of Scotland and therefore less hassle with travel logistics. 3:wink:

Oh….. last time we played Celtic we were allocated the West end. Why?

Who… should receive the letter of complaint, as I assume we’ll be given the West end, again? I did write to the SFA a few years ago with the question of end allocation but….. no reply.

Really annoys me. The National (neutral) Stadium, I think not.

    Ggggrrrrrr

Well we're from the furthest East,so we'll get the East surely.

This is something that annoys me more than it should. Why the **** have we got designated ends in a national stadium?

    United we stand here....

It takes an eternity to get back from either end mostly due to the Police directing traffic so not really fussed. As long as we get half the tickets then I will be happy enough

Strongly suspect we'll get the West. Celtic have always had dibs on the East end. Last few games we've played there against Celtic this century we've always been in the West. Can't see that changing.

Bound to be the west, better selection of pubs 👍😁
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

It's an absolute nonsense that two teams have their own ends at the national stadium.

In reality I couldn't really care less which end I sit at in Hampden but the fact that we don't even get the option just because of who we're playing really winds me up.

I'd love Ben Kensell to request that we get the east end.

We will get whatever end Celtic decide we get

I think the west end of the stadium has a bigger capacity.

Feels like our recent record in the West isn’t the best ?

When was the last time Celtic were in the West?

Everybody knows we'll be getting the West side of the stadium, so that Celtc can have their end.

It's so obvious that the SPFL/SFA pander to those morons.

Well unless Celtc and The Rangers paid for the rebuild 20 odd years ago, that's a nonsense reason for still allowing them to choose their end of the stadium

It's tradition and we know how caught up in that they are

What end did we get in the league cup/dryborough cup finals in the early 1970’s?
    I was a toddler.

We hardly ever get the west , which used to be the better end when covered.
Should be drawn out the hat who gets each end imo .

Does it make a blind bit of difference? Like *real* difference?

People talk about the East and West of Hampden like they're as far apart as the east and west coasts of the USA.

I think it just annoys people that two teams know what end they'll be in. Everybody else moves to suit them.

No it doesn't make a difference but it's the principle of two teams automatically claiming a part of a neutral stadium that annoys me.

Queen's Park owned Hampden when the roof was put over the west terrace, so that seems unlikely.

The Celtic End/Rangers End thing is a piece of nonsense, of course, but not something I lose sleep over.

We had the Rangers end. Was 16/17 during those glory years.

This. The East of Hampden is a bit of a desolate wasteland.

West side has everything else, pubs, cafes, restaurants.

What’s even more mad is for the Cup Final v Hearts they put the “Protestant” team in the West and the “Catholic” team in the East.

It’s like they had a template for allocation.

    Yes and no..

But I guarantee for several Celtic players it will feel normal to have their fans at that end - they have had a pretty decent record at Hampden in recent years and if I was Hibs I would still be asking for it to be drawn for fairness.

Agreed. That’s what really annoys me. It’s the West coast mindset at work.
