Is this the worst preparation we've ever had for a semi final?
4 straight defeats, loss of form, injured players, Covid infections, isolations, training disruption, 3-4 week lay off without a game and some players away on International duty.
Guaranteed Hibs win.

Apart from the time we had loads of injuries before an Edinburgh Derby and then sold our only fit striker after the UK window shut, days before the semi.

Bring SDG out of retirement. Off the bench for an injury time corner.

The game before the 2016 final was one of my worst ever experiences as a Hibs fan. The omens are good.

A The rangers squad who had never heard of covid were dead on their feet after 80 mins in May 16 having not played for three weeks. Hopefully it being earlier in the season means it won't be like that for us.

Here’s an idea. Let’s buy tickets, gets behind the boys and see what happens. Too many ‘fans’ finding an excuse not to go and waiting to say told you so.
The hard core of the support will be there as usual and the wannabes will wait till finals.

I don't think anyone needs an excuse not to go to a football match, even if it is a semi final. I'm not going because it's a dear day out, our football is uninspiring pish and I think we will get mightily pumped. If we win, I reserve my right to change my mind.

I was thinking that we’ll be in good shape ahead of the semifinal. We should have Doidge and Magennis back and the rest of the squad should be well rested and raring to go. The only problem I can see is if some of the players are still suffering the after effects, but given that they’re young and fit they’d be more likely to be fine.

If we get through all of your excuses can be used against the final so why would you want to go to that?

Folk can do what they want without having to justify it to anybody.
I’m going but I don’t blame anybody in the slightest for not fancying it. There’s a number of reasons why people might not want to go and not one of them is any of my business.

When does the uber fan permission slips scheme start? I'm never sure if I'm entitled to go to a football match. Petrie, get this scheme introduced!

Hibs v Rangers in a League Cup Semi Final. There can be only one outcome surely? Who do we fancy in the final though? Celtic or the bogey team?

We'd need one of our resident stattoes to confirm this but I think Hibs have only ever lost one Semi Final to Rangers
Something like nine wins and one defeat.
I think our normal routine is to beat Rangers in the Semi Final, get all excited about the Final, then lose* to somebody like Clyde, Third Lanark or Drumnadrochit Rovers.
* 1991 being the obvious exception.
