    Marvin Bartley

Do not know if this has been posted elsewhere, but it is being reported that Marv is to become the new manager at Ayr Utd.

If this is true I wish the big lad all the best.

Has Mathie just joined Ayr United as Managing director? (Or something like?)

Yes. That is why he has probably gone for Marv.

Can only wish him all the best,I really do hope he does well, would love him to return to Easter Road in some capacity.Perhaps more importantly I believe he does too.

Intelligent,,articulate and was a wonderful contributor to Hibernian in his time here, should have had another season here

    He really got Hibs IMO

Was always inevitable he’d get into management one day, always seemed like he’d be a great fit for it. All the best to him, a Hibs legend.

Think he'll make a very good manager. Certainly wish him all the best if this is true.

Delighted for Marv. I’m hoping Ayr stay up now.

Now that Morton have that arse, Imrie, I’m happy for them to go down instead.

He's a bigger slaver than a poachers dug, but as a decent former Hibby, I wish him good luck.

Dear oh dear. He speaks really well and articulately about important issues. But I'm sure that's what you meant.

    Jeezo.

I love big Marv, but I think we're all entitled to have our own opinions on what he says in the media. One person's articulate orator is another person's slaver.

Slaver calling someone else a slaver. Irony detector going haywire here.

Not seen Marvs name linked with the Ayr job only Darren O’Dea, Celtic B team coach. I’d like Marv back at ER in a coaching role in the future

Good luck to him if he goes for it, always like listening to him on Sportscene or at pitch side.
