At least there’s no Livi in a final final I suppose.

They have the balls but not the players or the form

Dunno how you can say we don’t have the players, it wasn’t long ago that we’d have beaten them at Ibrox if it wasn’t for a red card.

This is the same group of players. We’re capable.

    Yes but let's be realistic.

I don't think many football matches are decided on testicular fortitude.

Do we have a head coach and a group of players who can nullify and compete with a group who are collectively and individually better? Yes. We have proven that against Rangers several times recently and we have rarely failed to perform against them albeit results haven't always gone our way.

Of course if things get a bit scrappy then you need a player to have the courage to put their foot on the ball, dictate the tempo and allow us to control the game. Again though that is as much about ability as it is balls.

Definitely, if it is a cold day and they play with a Mitre Mould Master which they fire hard from close range right at the opposition. Ouch!

If we do, then this squad will be nicknamed "Vanish" because they'll have removed both stains.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

If we win today,I would rather play Celtic than st johnstone. Yes we would be underdogs but don't see why we can't win both games come on the hibs

I was just being flippant to the testicular fortitude aspect of the OP which was stated as if it was the biggest factor standing between us and the League Cup

Hibs haven’t beaten the huns since Feb 2018..

Has Jack Ross ever beaten Celtic as Hibs manager?

Not sure his record at St Mirren against them but today would be a good start.

It all just depends on his testicular fortitude.

If we don't think that it's at least possible, then the team should stay next to the fireside this afternoon and watch the telly.

We are not the team. What we think is irrelevant to the result.
We will watch it unfold and support them throughout.
The team will believe they can win and will give their best and that may or may not be enough.

St Johnstone made a good fist of things yesterday and narrowly lost.
Hopefully our players can do better against a Rangers team who can't rip us apart like Celtic did recently.
If we can keep the game tight for 70 minutes and keep 11 players on the pitch we could be onto something.
Fingers crossed it doesn't go to extra time given Wednesday's game in Dingwall and Saturdays game in Perth.
90+2 Drey Wright winner and no injuries would be perfect.

We’re good enough to beat both on our day if we play our best.

I’m addition to our best we also need a lot of luck.

Let’s concentrate on today first, for some reason I’m confident of a win.

Realistic means we have a chance. Pessimistic on the other hand …..

To answer the OP question……it’s a resounding YES! YES! YES!

Much rather it this way than playing a Livi or a St.Johnston

Even if the answer is still an unknown. It was worth posing the question for "testicular fortitude" alone.
