    Livi tickets - cash gate?

Any word if there will be a cash gate on Saturday?

I don’t want to commit to buy just now as I will need to drive through the COP26 traffic, would prefer to gauge it on Saturday.

If it does have a cash gate get there an hour before kick off as it is a terrible ground to get in at. Our recent form might help with getting in quicker though

Paying on the day at Livi is a serious mistake.

The last time I did it, I joined the queue (for the one open ticket booth) at 2:15 and got into the stadium at 3:05

Apparently Livi have said they can't possibly afford to pay for more than two people working at the turnstile, despite the tens of thousands of pounds they receive from visiting Hibs fans.

I agree hovwever they could probably afford it, they cant do it. Theres no place for the turnstyles to take cash in big numbers. The wee window where they sell the tickets might now have cashless, but I doubt it. Having taken the correct cash last time, the transaction still took a couple of minutes as the man with cash bag was refilling the till and ensuring he removed the same anount of cash and getting receipts from the last who was the operator.

Makes you wonder how football clubs coped when nearly everybody was paying at the gate.

There was a woman selling tickets from a wee table in the boozer under the stand once. I already had a ticket but I got a fright as I initially thought it was the queue for the bar.

    United we stand here....

This is the kind of issue where you would expect Hibs and Livi to chat about pre match with fan liaison trying to find a solution. Surely they can find a solution.

Echo others words. Paying on the day at Livi is to be avoided. An utter disaster

Yep the game after we beat Hearts at Tynecastle with Boyle scoring 2 was a complete and utter joke. Must have queued for 45 to 50 minutes after getting to the ground at twenty to 3.

They don't pay people. Folk volunteer and get in to watch the game for free.

Maybe some Hibs Fans could volunteer, then.

I'd be quite happy to keep an eye on the cash...

I live near South and I'd be surprised if North isn't nearer. I'd guess by about 10 mins on foot. That said, the tickets on that line are dearer. There's a pub at the North but you can walk past 3 or 4 via South through the centre. South better drop off for bits of Edinburgh too.

Was thinking about not going to the pub at the North but now that you've suggested some others, I think I'll not go to one of those ones instead. 🙃

more to take your mind off things walking to the south as well i would think instead of just a couple of long roads to the North, i'm not even sure how to take the car to Livi south other than the road past Morrisons up to the roundabout(one of hundreds in Livi) Brucefield to the right and the station the road to the left, i think

North station is best. Very little in the distance but more frequent trains.
